Samsung Health & Fitbit integration

Can we please have something that syncs our fit bit stats with our S Health stats? It's annoying to have multiple fitness platforms especially now that androids are becoming more and more popular as are fitness apps. It would be nice to do it all from one place.

There is a fairly new app called Fit and Healthy by Jason Lo that will sync
some Fitbit data to the S-Health app. It may fill in a gap 4 u.

AndieL, I can't find that app on Google Play - can you provide a link?

If you type in the search box "fit and healthy Jason lo" then it comes up. I have just downloaded it 😊

Thank you. I'm looking into it now, but it looks like this goes from Fitbit to S Health... What about the other way around?

Looks like fitbit needs to step up the game so we don't need/want SHealth as an addition. It's been about 4 years already. Sheesh. Money/greed is most likely the road block.

Just some feedback I received from fitbit after I emailed the support team...does not look like something will happen anytime soon!

"Hi Anthony,

We appreciate your feedback.

Though we cannot assure you that such integration will be implemented, please know that here at Fitbit we love to hear from our customers about how we can improve and innovate.

We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. The best place to make your voice heard is the Ideas board on our community (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/idb-p/features), which our product development teams consult regularly to ensure we're delivering on what our customers need and want. Please take a moment to visit and give us your feedback.

If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments. Our product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for participating in our community."

I am Samsung user since the s2 and fitbit user for probably like a year now. I have a great group on the fitbit so far and i really want to sync my data with S health so that i can take advantage of other features from both fitbit and s health. Please provide the way to sync the fitbit data with s health.

I have updated the Fit and Healthy app so that it imports Fitbit step counts, body weight, body fat%, calories burnt, distance, heart rate, sleep times into Samsung S Health.  The app is available from the Google Play store for Android at either of the following links:

market://details?id=com.jsonlo.fitandhealthy

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jsonlo.fitandhealthy

Next up, I'll be adding the ability to export data to Fitbit.

Please check out Fit and Healthy by Jason Lo. It is a newer app that will
sync some Fitbit data to the S-Health app, with some in app purchases. I
love it.

Hi,

I looked into this from the fitbit end first. Looks like fitbit has an open API, and any third party app can connect to fitbit apps anytime they want. This could only mean that Samsung doesn't want us to be able to connect. The only reason I can see for this is to use it to try and pressure people into dropping another $300 on a Gear. Pretty low when I just dropped $800 on a new phone. Not good PR Samsung. Hope you see the light soon.

Fit and Healthy by Jason Lo 3rd party app that will sync Fitbit data with
S-Health. Check it out and see if it fills the gap for you.

I too would love this integration.

I've been using S Health for over a year and was really disappointed that my new fitbit doesn't sync with it.

Also - S Health has a number of activities that I use a lot (eg. Bowling), but fitbit won't let me log them as they're not on the fitbit accepted list.

An idea to add 'custom' activities (like S Health provides) on fitbit would be good. Mine just keeps insisting I use it's predefined activities.
