Samsung Health & Fitbit integration

Can we please have something that syncs our fit bit stats with our S Health stats? It's annoying to have multiple fitness platforms especially now that androids are becoming more and more popular as are fitness apps. It would be nice to do it all from one place.

I use my phone all the time to track steps. I also use it for other fitness apps. Would be nice if it could pair to s health for those times you charge your fitbit

Is there any progress on this yet? I can see it was posed in 2015 and the research online seems to be a really sought after feature. Is there any update as of yet?

I would love this since I can't use my phone all the time, who reason I got fitbit. But I would still love to challenge my sister on s health and see the "You're in the top __% of your group." I liked that feature a lot, really motivating.

Hi all. I have just noticed that in Samsung health in the latest release
you can import data from your fitbit device.

Its under settings then connected services.

Where is it and how do you connect fitbit to it?

I just checked it. There is no way you can get the steps and other information but sleep. Only the sleep can be shared. I personally don't give a **ahem** about th esleep part.

Also just found it only syncs sleep patterns. You may as well have just not supported it all. So sad.

Sorry to excite you and jump the gun. Your right It is only sleep. I have
found a partner app although there are costs if you want to sync
everything. It's an approved Samsung health partner app. I have just
installed it and I havnt tested the automated sync yet I have tested the
initial sync and it has imported my steps over. Might be worth a go until
something else happens.

*Fit and Healthy imports and exports step counts, body weight, body fat %,
height (and BMI), distances, calories burnt, heart rates and sleep patterns
from a Fitbit account into S Health. The app can be set to sync
periodically. A schedule can be set so that the app downloads from Fitbit
at a certain time of day (for example, during the waking hours).*

*NOTE: The Fitbit app for Android requires that you have previously owned a
Fitbit tracker to view exported step counts.*

*FREE OPTIONS*
** Import steps*
** Export steps - but WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN FITBIT
CHALLENGES*
** Import weight*

*IN-APP PURCHASES*
** Import body fat %, height (and BMI)*
** Import distances and calories*
** Import average resting heart rate at a day level*
** Import daily sleep start and end times*
** Export calories, weight, body fat% and sleep times*

Has this happened yet? This would be wonderful to have both my devices (Samsung health and Fitbit) sync so no need of double input or ignoring one, which would be the Samsung health in my case. Please integrate these two so we can benefit from both communities and both communities keep their members happy. Thank you.

This is awesome if this happens because sometimes i forget wearing fitbit but I always have phone with me. This way I can sync and get my steps in fitbit app.

I was hoping for this feature, but at this point I'm looking at getting a Samsung wearable to put an end to this madness.

Over 19 Pages of People begging FitBit to make this compatibility happen and no sign of initiative from FitBits....  I think I should move to different product that willing to support.

This is never going to happen what you are all asking is for fitbit to allow you to use fitbit hardware but Samsung's software......it is equal to begging apple to start installing Windows on macs

They don't need to have access to fitibit hardware. All they need is to
have read access from fitbit app which already many other apps are having
now.

It's the same principle and the apps your talking about don't belong to conglomerates so of course they are going to ride fitbit coat tails for now, but if runkeeper ever developed it's own hardware I bet you that read access will go away real quick

No, asking for them to be able to interchange health info. I use fitbit
blaze in the gym and s3 watch everywhere else. Would be nice to keep track
of both in one place. Just need a 3rd party to create the app that can do
that i guess.

There is no reason for devices like Fitbit to not allow integration.  We pay for the device itself.  It's a pain having to track things through several different apps.  We purchased the hardware, so open it up and allow us to use whatever software we please.  Otherwise, my next device won't be a Fitbit.
