To have the daily intake of fiber in macros section would be amazing. I am using the app for years now, but I still must calculate the fiber intake manually, which is tedious. Can we have that option?
Hi @svarthelionis. Thank you for your product feedback about adding your fiber intake to the macronutrients section on the Fitbit app with us! We've found a similar request and merged yours with it. You can find it here. Please vote on the existing thread to help us track interest. To learn more about how Fitbit decides what product feedback is developed, visit our FAQs.
I liked the post and would love to be able to track fiber! It’s been 6 years since the first request. What features are being released in 2026? Where is this on the roadmap?
Fiber is criticall. I'm baffled as to why this wasn't included on the macros chart and in the summary percentage stats in the first place, let alone that it was requested 6 years ago(!) and FitBit still hasn't developed it into showing on the macros graph and summary stats (a total count, doesn't need to be part of the percentage). There's research that increasing your fiber increases your longevity, it's critical to fullness and satiety, it protects your gut. It's essential. Please remedy this as soon as you can. I was thinking of trying to use Fitbit to track food and just used it this one day - without tracking fiber, it's a nonstarter. I'll be using a different app until this is fixed.
Fiber seems to not be taken seriously by many people. Probably because each single benefit does not seem that important. If you look at the big picture all the benefits together make it a lot more important. More people need fiber more than they think they do. It made a big difference for me when I started tracking it manually.
