Show average time instead of score on main sleep view

Fitbit app used to show weekly/monthly average sleep hours per day on the sleep view but now it just shows average sleep score. Can Fitbit please go back to showing average sleep hours rather than sleep score? Or at least give users the option to choose what is displayed. Average sleep hours would be more meaningful to me.

Hi @SunriseRun443@! Great suggestion, thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

Every Monday you will see the average sleep in your email from Fitbit.

To me the sleep score is the equivalent of walkinq 8 miles but instead of recording my miles you give me an arbitrary walking score.  The point of wearing this type of device is to record, review, assess FACTS about our health. How many miles I walk.  How many hours I seleep. How much REM sleep or deep sleep am I getting.  Sleep score is simply and completely ludicrous.  Yes, you have added back sleep hours to the second screen.  But sleep scores as the first screen is not acceptable.  Please accept that you make a poor decision here and restore sleep hours as the primary.

Yes it would be great if anyone at fitbit could actually give some sort of
reply. There is another thread here -
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Make-sleep-score-optional/idi-p/3611214
Which has been active for over 5 months and nearly 1300 comments - but NONE
from anyone at fitbit.
That thread is ' Under Consideration', and had been for many months - does
under consideration mean sweep it under the carpet and forget all the
comments ???
It is so frustrating to find that no one at fitbit has the balls or
intelligence to make any sort of response.

@ Rich_Laue

But much better to get it daily on the app like it used to be until someone
at fitbit thought they knew better and screwed it all up !!!!!!

Please return to sleep averages as opposed to the score. The averages was much more useful to me as opposed to the score! Or give us a choice on which format we'd like to see.

Sleep score is less than useless; especially if you sleep with a device that doesn't support it (Charge HR)

If you sleep with a none supporting device, then you should not see a score but the minutes asleep. Like before the, the so wanted by Fitbit users, sleep score was added.

I agree, however, you just see nothing. It's just lovely. I've only had Fitbits, never other brands, next one won't be a Fitbit if they don't start listening to users.

I have refrained from commenting for a few months now. I guess I thought I exhausted my contributions. And I was frustrated by the lack of response from Fitbit. I watched others comment on Fitbit removing their posts or editing it or moving it to some other chain.
But the fact remains that everyone, and I do mean everyone Except perhaps for one or two apologists for Fitbit want the Hours of sleep and not some contrived score. I believe it should be the first thing you see and you should not have to tap and scroll to find how many hours of sleep you got last night. Some very tech savvy folks have said it’s not hard but if you are struggling with sleep you don’t warty demoralizing score to be the first thing you encountered in the day.

So once again I am asking Fitbit to only show hours of sleep. Totally remove or hide the score. And please respond after almost a year.

Between the two threads on this stupid score there are many many more users that feel exactly the same DALwpg

WHY can't anyone from fitbit have the decency to make some attempt at a reply ??????

But this is not the area for Fitbit to provide. This is the area for users to present their case to the developers.

Indeed you ought. In fact that always used to be the case and is why I continued with the Charge HR for sleep. The behaviour of the [Android] app changed some weeks ago when the sleep score was foisted upon me, despite using an unsupported device.

I've started actively looking for a new tracker that would actually show hours slept via Google, since they now own Fitbit, thought I might get their attention that way since this thread seems to have no effect...

@ Rich_Laue - I also thought this was a section for developers & fitbit staff for feedback and suggestions, but sadly this seems to be the area for fitbit to ignore all the users.

Yes! Please bring back the average sleep time.

Until last week I received a weekly average time asleep and now it only shows average sleep score of zero as I don't have a heart rate monitor on my Alta. It seems really unfair that this feature is no longer available to me and others with similar devices to mine. Taking away this feature feels like we're being penalised for not being able to afford the latest Fitbit

Hi @josie1. Thanks for sharing your suggestion about showing your average sleep hours in the Fitbit app. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. This will helps us to keep the forums organized and make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Lots of people agree, but somehow, after all this time, Fitbit won't admit they f***** up and go back to sleep hours average. Fitbit, it's time to clean up your mess. Personally started looking at other brands, if this is not resolved by the time I need a new tracker, I'm not buying a Fitbit period. And I'm very loyal to brands that I use, so if I go, I'm never coming back. So Fitbit, how many customers are you willing to lose before picking up the pooh of the floor?!

I guess it has been moved here so it can be forgotten about. This thread
has been going since August last year and been completely ignored by
fitbit, not even one comment about it !
