Show average time instead of score on main sleep view

Fitbit app used to show weekly/monthly average sleep hours per day on the sleep view but now it just shows average sleep score. Can Fitbit please go back to showing average sleep hours rather than sleep score? Or at least give users the option to choose what is displayed. Average sleep hours would be more meaningful to me.

How many hundreds of people have to complain before Fitbit finally switches this back?

Would it be nice if we could get some sort of response from fitbit - their complete lack of input shows what they really think about their customers !!!

@lyssfitz I just randomly found a way to see your weekly sleep averages on the iOS app, it might work for android too.

Okay, so open the app, then hit the Community button on the bottom right, then tap the "What are you up to?" and then tap "Sleep" and it shows the old way of sleep entries without the Sleep Score and shows the average nightly sleep!

Hope this helps.

THigginsWx,
Helps a lot!!!! Now why couldn’t have someone from Fitbit told us that?!  Did they not know?

I would still like to also see my weekly & monthly sleep hours in bar charts like we could before, but this is a good start to seeing what we used to  ...

Google announced on Friday it was purchasing Fitbit. Maybe they will improve Fitbit's software in response to our complaints.

I'll switch fitness watches soon then. Just not sure who yet. They can't
listen to one little feature change requested by customers then screw em.
It's no skin off their back to give us what we want, that's how good
businesses are built and run. If I have a business that doesn't give my
customers what they want, I wouldn't be in business long.

This is the first comment I've made after being a Fitbit user for almost 3 years. The sleep feature was one of the reasons I bought a Fitibit, but showing the average *percentage* scores only has always been frustrating to me. I've had plenty of bad nights where I only get 3 or 4 hours sleep, but they still fall in line with my 30 day average or the benchmark scores, and worse still, I still get a relatively high "sleep score"!!

It would be useful to know the actual LENGTH of time asleep, awake, light, REM, deep etc. and how it compares to our 30 day average and also to the benchmark for other people. Fitbit has this data - why are we not able to see it?!?

If you're going to include a "benchmark" option so we can see how we compare to other users, then at least make this a useful stat!! It's the actual length of time that really matters, not the percentages!

Come on Fitbit - you can do this!! You have the data. Give the customers what they want and give yourself an edge over the competition.

In the sleep section of the app, I would like to see a line chart of average weekly sleep times for the past month or two.

I don't hate the sleep score. What I need though is an easy way to see the weekly sleep average.  This was the main reason I started wearing a fitbit 5 years ago and is still key to me.

Hello...I see charts for the hours slept per day but no visible calculation for avergae hours. The average sleep score isn't helpful to me. If I am missing something please correct me, if not, please bring back this calculation on the app. Thanks

The sleep score is meaningless to me. Average weekly hours of sleep was very useful and should remain an option.

I wouldn't mind the sleep score and its ratings if it changed how they are interpreted. IMO the ratings should be based on how close you were to your goal hours of sleep (if inputted) or a recommended amount. Rn for me my goal is 7.5 hours. I'm averaging 5.5-6 (mainly because I stay up late more often than I should). My averages are mid-70s to low-80s if I go less than 6 hours, yet if I actually hit my goal or more I'm low 70s? Makes no sense!

Like others, I find the sleep score opaque and unhelpful, and would much prefer to have average hours of sleep per week appear instead.

The new sleep score sucks! The sleep hours was the only tracking I used the fitbit for so now it is useless to me.  Why would fitbit make such a dramatic change like that and not offer the option to use the original version that we all have grown so accustomed to?  Poor decision making...going to cost you customers.  I will not be a repeat customer if this is not corrected.

I logged into the web version recently and found average sleep hours. I also noticed average sleep hours on the weekly summary sent via email.

This may help in the meantime but I would still would like to see this on the app.

I will not buy another Fitbit either. I am going to switch to Samsung or
Garmin. Fitbit had plenty of time to correct this issue that sooo many
people voiced their dislike for.

This feature is one of the major differences between their tracker and
their competition. Why are they screwing around with it?

So Fitbit has added back our sleep hours BUT AS A SECOND SCREEN. Fitbit, come on. We have people turning in their devices because the sleep hours should be our primary screen.  All I can imagine is that the person who came up with the idea of sleep score would rather sink the Fitbit than admit to their error.

I have been a fit bit owner for 5 years and I have relied on my weekly average sleep score to help me. When purchasing the fit bit you had this feature and now it is replaced with a number that nobody understands and is pointless to me and probably other users who have asked to turn it off. I hope that you no longer have this and bring back weekly sleep total. It is 356 in the morning and I am writing this because I am so upset with this company. That after being a loyal customer for over 10 years. I think I am done
