Support Thai Language for all Fitbit devices

In Thailand, Garmin fast sold their items because they have friendly language with Thai people. I like Fitbit brand more than Garmin but many times I have problem with who's calling or who're text or chat to me?

If it can be possible, please support this issue.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I hope this issue can improve your sales & market share in Thailand

Warmest Regards,
Khrin

Just so you know that when anyone ask me; or going to make a purchase decision between apple watch and fitbit, I told them that "don't buy the fitbit until Thai language has been fixed. Fitbit recognises about this problem since last 2 years and still does nothing"

Dear Fitbit Team

  • Seems like this issue since 2018 and now 2020 not happening yet. Please please develop for supporting Thai language because many brands they do even cheap brands. Please consider this. Hope it works very soon. Thank you!!!

Maybe we should write to Fitbit CEO and if its still no feedback then we
should consider it. Maybe move next step changing to another comptitors.

Thanks.

It should not make a difference what is being displayed if you use unicode character set.

Please update Thai language.

Like others said, only in notification is okay for the first step. It was very struggling to see what the notification said about, or who was calling. Thanks.

Just catching up with all these reviews/posts as I have been in constant communication with the Fit Bit support team in regards to the same issue of Thai language.

I recently purchased three Fitbit versa two watches for my family in thailand for gifts as I have already returned two of them due to the ongoing issue with the language restriction. My family in thailand does not speak English as I had spoke to a representative at Fit Bit prior to purchasing to confirm Thai language. I was told yes but after one of the watches arrived in Thailand and we communicated, we found out different. The language available is Thai /English . Everything was synced but still nothing completely changed to Thai language. I would’ve loved for my family to enjoy their Fitbit’s as we were hoping to have this issue resolved.

but after catching up on all of these posts, not sure when this will actually be updated and confirmed to finalize Thai language on the set up/display/notifications.

As of now we are considering retrieving back the Fitbit we had sent to thailand and returning the product. Looking to purchase an Apple I watch since they already have an established language in Thai language.

I would have loved for this to work out for our family in Thailand but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

I’m writing this on behalf half of my mother-in-law who lives in Thailand. She was so looking forward to enjoying her Fit Bit versa 2 vs. the Apple I watch as her friend has. We really wanted to support the brand/product as I am a Bay Area resident in California.

if there’s any update whatsoever coming soon please inform us as soon as possible as we would love to stay with Fit Bit product.

All the best,

Just bought a Versa 2 for my wife, unbelievable that Fitbit doesn’t provide Thai language as an option. Seriously, multi-language support is a prerequisite for any brand looking to be a global player.

I agree.

Really enjoy using fitbit for almost 10 years. Nice touch, good quality and great value. Now they're Smart watch.

Please make them smart. Like others commented. No need for menu but i like to read message in Thai or in their original language.

Thai support needed. Unable to read English and can only use if I know all the symbols! I cant make the best out of the device as a result.
someone writing this on my behalf.

As a product reviewer for the Bangkok Post, not supporting Thai local language is a big minus for me to recommend this product for families in Thailand. Please add Thai language support ASAP.

Dear Fitbit team,

Fitbit is the only smartwatch brand I have reviewed that does not have Thai text support. If you feel that Thai market is important, you need to consider upgrading the OS to support Thai fonts. Or, your beloved customers will start moving to other brands.

Wow, it takes Fitbit 2 years to kindly advance this tiny topic to "Under Consideration" and still considering after almost another year. How many more status does it need to give Thai customers their humble expectation? I hope this is not a racism against Thai people. A few hundreds baht devices selling in Thailand honor Thai people with Thai language while Fitbit practically ignored carelessly.

Fitbit is wasting Thai customers' money and commenting time. Adding unicode is not too hard for willing engineers. You are rudely expressing dishonor to Thai people.

Maybe Thai people is not target.

I seen many suggestions from a few years ago about request Thai language notification?
but now 2021 still not support Thai language notification.
I buy three Fitbit trackers in the past 3-5 years but still can't use Thai language notification.
Do you racist for Thai users or something?

Hi @bebick, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to support Thai language on Fitbit devices. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

I’m wating for really looooooooooong time, from Versa to Versa 3. Really? Why not? I still love Fitbit but it's been a long time. I think that it should be able to use Thai language until now...

I think Fitbit misses a real chance to go on the Thai market by lacking the Thai language inside the watches. Thai people are fond of gadgets and if Fitbit not put their language inside the watches they are obliged to go to other brands who do support Thai language. If Chinese is supported by Fitbit, why can't Thai be it ?

If anyone still a fan of Fitbit just tries Apple watch I'm sure you would change your mind and never get back to Fitbit like I did, especially when you use iPhone. It's quite convenient and lots of features you would love. It can show you a picture attachment from your Line application and message. It beyond just Thai notification, Apple watch even can detect your ECG and blood O2. I'm so sick of this issue cause I waiting for so long with this Fitbit notification support. Finally, when I sold Fitbit and bought a brand new Apple watch I wonder what took me so long to buy it.
