Switch between Child to parent view without logging out

Right now when going back to parent mode from he child view you have to confirm your password but it then logs you out and you have to re-enter your email and password. Can the password confirmation be the only security instead of having to type in all the extra info?

Please add the picture feature for the Kids Ace fitbit.  Thanks!

I really hope this happens soon. I have been watching the posts about this since May. Do the right thing Fitbit and let kids add pictures it’s ridiculous that they cannot with all the other protections if family account  in place. I read the COPA and it does not go against it. The fact that picture cannot be used on ACE should have been accounted for in the advertising fir the product. Had it been I would not have purchased.

thank you!

It would be fine even if we could add a picture that isn't necessarily a picture of the kid -- like a dinosaur or a fairy or a dump truck. I have two kids using the Ace so it would be easier to differentiate their comments at a glance in the challenges if there was some kind of picture or color there.

Second day with the Ace and I am disappointed, to say the least. Can't add a picture, the band was made for a toddler (luckily I had an extra Alta HR band laying around), and sleep was not tracked accurately at all. It is not like this device is $15. Way too expensive to have so many blatant issues.

Please hurry up with this feature. It's making me regret buying and Ace - I would have just got my kids a Flex2 if I'd known about this limitation.

Kids want pic. Please make this possible to keep them engaged in daily activity and challenges.

It would be nice to have a profile picture for my child account. Since the family all has fitbits shes disappointed shes the only one without a picture on her account. Hopefully this can be fixed soon.

My son and daughter are both upset that you can’t add a profile photo! Hope this gets resolved soon.

10 year old daughter is very disappointed to discover that, having spent all her birthday money and a little bit of her savings on a Fitbit Ace, she cant add a photo even though as a guardian I control who is in her family so only they would see it. It was the 1st thing she wanted to do once we set it all up. Ridiculous that this feature has been blocked on a child’s account even from the Parent View tab.

My son was super excited to get his Fitbit. But he’s now not feeling so happy because he can’t add a photo or friends. I mean, he understands that I’d be the one to control this. But I can’t even control it? We may need to return it and get him an adult one that I just monitor closely if he can’t even have a picture.

Profile pictures for child accounts please.

As many have already said, this is one of the many missing features that make Ace a bad choice vs just buying an Alta. Since the parent has control over most other aspects of the Child account, surely they can be trusted to determine if a photo, avatar, or default avatar is the correct option for their own child.

Agree totally!! Our daughter who is an awesome owner of the ace, is dissapointed to not have a photo with her profile. Please give her an update so the whole family has a profile mug-shot! 😊

It seems ridiculous that the avatar picture can't be changed especially when the child can't add friends or communicate with anyone other that added friends the parent has approved. My daughter is very disappointed that she can't choose a photo for her avatar and doesn't understand why everyone else in the family with a Fitbit can but she can't.

My husband and I love our Fitbits and regularly participate in challenges with friends and family.  My daughter has wanted to join in and so we got her the Ace for her birthday.  Disappointed she can’t add a photo as well! If I had know. The limitations of the Ace I probably would have bought her a regular Alta.  For the price I’m disappointed she can’t do more.  Please allow at least the kids to display their photos.  We control her friends so it shouldn’t be a security issue.

I gave up and deleted my child’s account then re-registered her Ace with a fake DOB (making her an adult). She now has a photo and Fitbit friends.

That’s awesome. Hi guess I will have to do that as well since Fitbit doesn’t seem to care about all the input on this from frustrated parents. I wouldn’t have purchased it if they had outlined these facts in the advertising. So disappointed with Fitbit for this issue.

My feature request was to allow us to not require a password to get back to parent view, but this solves that if we don't need to switch to kid view in the first place.

Yes! I’d love this to happen too!

Why is it that kids can’t have a profile picture?  I sure would like my kids to have that option.

Yes, I would like this feature also.

The family account is the only feature that I cannot get with other inexpensive/kids fitness trackers. I read this password issue on the Amazon review and decided not to buy Ace kid. The cumbersome step is a deal breaker for me since I can buy Letcom fitness tracer for $29. I know their app is annoying but so as this password issue with Fitbit. You can get much more market share for under 12 yr old group if you make the family account work seamlessly.

They took out the double verification after the first week. Now it's only the passwords needed one time. Still not sure why any verification should be necessary really as it's a fitness tracker and not banking or personal information but at least they "fixed" the issue that made me post initially.
