Threaded Messaging

Taunting, Cheering and messaging within the app is fun, however only being able to see my friends messages to me and not my responses, makes the banter much less entertaining. Almost all IM, SMS, Skype and chat programs allow the user to see the entire conversation (both sides of it). Please Fix the Chat to show the full conversation!

A feature that doesn't work isn't a feature.

A solution that doesn't resolve a problem isn't a solution

A manufacture who ignores customer's requests for four years running isn't a serious contender in the market place and will get overtaken by the competition, or bought out by another player.

Hopefully it won't be Nokkia - their takeover of Withings was a disaster!

TBH, I wouldn't care all that much about the threaded messaging - FitBit never claimed to be a social media platform - yes, they do tout the social features/community that helps (and has helped me) reach fitness goals, not being able to chat on fitbit isn't a deal breaker - you can always take a conversation from Fitbit after the initial taunt/msg to WhatsApp/Messenger/whatever.

The bigger issue is Fitbit not delivering on promised features. I currently own a FitBit Ionic, which was sold as a smartwatch, with some idiotic tech sites considering if it was going to be AppleWatch killer. Have had it for months now, and its nothing more than a glorified notification watch, with features no where NEAR what even the most basic smartwatch would offer. For the price they charge, it is almost criminal.

I have absolutely no doubt that they will soon go the way of Nokia and other companies that though thier name was enough to keep them afloat - my next watch would certainly not be a fitbit.

Part of the problem is the number of messages being deleted by Fitbit. Some sensible points are being put forward by the members, but it Fitbit doesn’t like them they just remove them!

Why don’t customer’s views matter & if they do why the silence from FB?

That is the question of the last four years. Don't hold your breath!

After four years of users politely requesting this feature, you finally admit you have no intention of implementing it. Applewatch, here I come.

How many of us still get these stupid threads, no way to opt out.  Physical product works fine, just expect the software to be a little weak.  Please turn these notifications off.  Do I need to mark everything from Fitbit Spam?

Thank you

I think it would be nice if I send a notification to a friend, when they reply I can see what I sent and what they sent so it is more of a conversation.

Absolutely. I would like to be able to see who I sent what to 🤔

We have been told that this is not going to happen. Not.

Please add this feature. It’s pretty silly that it’s not already set up this way.

This is being requested by existing customers.

Fitbit are not interested in existing customers

Sorry to hear this! A non existing customer would not even know that this
option was not available. Crazy!

I didn't know that it is so difficult to implement simple chat feature... Probably it's better to remove current silly friends communication feature at all and not disgrace yourself.

The social interaction piece needs work.

1. View my my sent messages

2.  Remove character limit

3. See entire thread instead of just the last message a person sent

4. Allow user to control what is kept and what gets deleted

Would be great to be able to see the thread/previous messages sent to a Fitbit friend on the app so I can see the two-way conversation.

We should be able to view message thread and history. It’s impossible to know what you’ve said to who and how. Just need to be able to see the exchange.

Allow organization of messaging function (I.e. deleting previous messages/notifications, organizing messages by conversation rather than individual messages, etc.). It is currently very outdated and cumbersome and needs to be fixed.
