Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

My quick view is permanently turned off and I no longer wear it at night for obvious reasons.  However, sitting in the dark during a recent theatre outing, when I joined in the applause mid performance, guess what?? My Fitbit lit up illuminating the surrounding seats and causing lots of embarrassing stares!!  I had to take it off very quickly.  How much longer do we need to wait?

Hi fitbit!

My sugestion it to automaticly turn off Quick Wiew, HR and double tab view when the whatch discover that i am sleeping! The whatch knows when i sleep, and the features are avalible to turn off/on on most fitbit whatches, why is it not possible for you to make make these features avalible?

It seems to be at really big problem for many people, and to be a really easy fix?

Are your firmware team actually reading sugestions, becource it looks like you really dont care to make sugestions avalible to the users?

Why?

How much longer?  Until we buy a different product. By their inaction Fitbit has made it clear they don't intend to ever implement this feature.

Sometimes, when I read this thread, I think it's just a matter of lacking skills. Maybe they really want to implement this feature, but they don't know how. And they do not have the nuts to tell us.

Yes, even with quickview turned off its screen keeps waking me up many times per night.

I use black tape myself, too.

Will buy other brand products in the future, that is for sure.

the solution is super simple... create a "sleep" button and make it super
easy to use.
like, it's such incredibly poor user design that every night, i have to
swipe 5 icons to the left, hit settings, hit quick view off, hold down my
button, turn off notifications, and then in the morning, i have to do it
all over again

this action should be done in one fluid button, simliar to turning off
notifications.. hold down a button, turn on sleep mode, this tracks when
you're planning on going to sleep, disables notifications, and most
importantly, completely disables the light until you turn sleep mode off
again

what the heck are your engineers doing that they're making the most used
function (sleep) the most complicated to enable? what are you guys
thinking..?? please learn better application design, and start thinking
about what people are actually doing with your devices. most people will
use this to track their sleep, amongst other things, and this should be the
least complicated thing of all!!! COME ON!!!

No it does not. It still lights up if you touch the sheets on it the wrong way.

Would love a way to disable the display at night on my Alta HR.

I would not want the feature tied to the automatic sleep detection because I sleep so fitfully (due to pain) that the automatic feature is itself a problem for me. I would want the light to be turned off according to the sleep/wake times I input as my sleep schedule. (I am also asking that my sleep report includes all levels of activity during that schedule.)

That could also work for me!

As of yesterday i no longer use my Blaze, as i can turn off everything on
my Charge HR!

188 different threads for suggestions on Quick View. One in particular has 3,377 upvotes with 528 new comments, it was 'reviewed by a moderator' on 3-9-16. We still have no responses or updates for this.

Fitbit, I urge you to start paying attention to your community and what we've asked for. I'm scanning through the News threads and seeing things like Badges announcements and of course new gear announcements, I really don't give a flip about the badges btw. Why aren't you addressing the feature changes we're asking for?

Quick view can be turned off and still activate light if you touch it with sheets or are still for a long time then move arm quickly. Need at least quick view to stay total off when turned off.

This would be great on Alta HR as well.

I am dying to be able to auto-disable Quick View on my Alta when I’m sleeping. I move a lot and end up blinding myself and/or my husband when I roll over. I’m obviously asleep. I either tell the fitbit app when I’m goig to sleep or it senses when I’m sleeping so there’s no need for it to light up. I wish it would stop and only resume when I’ve told the app I’m awake in the morning.

Totally agree, having this feature would be awesome. QuickView off between x and y.

A night time mode would be wicked helpful. I hate having to remember to go in and turn off Quick View in the menu settings then waiting for the sync to take place to make sure I'm not lighting up my bedroom like a disco.

It would be great if the display wasn't on when your charge hr records when you are sleeping. Or if you could set it like an alarm.

Even if I turn off Quick View, the screen can still light up suddenly at night, waking up everyone in the room.  This usually keeps me from wearing it at night, so I cannot take advantage of heart rate monitoring or of the sleep sensor.  Sometimes I put tape over the display, but I shouldn't have to do that.  Fitbit, let's have a night mode!

I'd really like this too. I'd prefer it to be a time based setting rather than relying on the fitbit determining I'm asleep, especially as moving around can be interpreted as time awake.

I'd love to be able to just set quiet hours where ANYTHING that disturbs your sleep is turned off. Notifications, quick view, tap to wake, etc.

But more so than Quick View, I'd like to be able to toggle off Tap to Wake (double tap the screen or side of the device to turn on the screen). This "feature", which can't be turned off AT ALL, unlike Quick View, has certainly disturbed my sleep. But I don't just want it off during sleep, I want to be able to toggle it off completely. My screen turns on during the day too, wasting battery, and even navigates itself to various screens as I move around. I've had it start workouts, timers, turn my notifications on/off, without me actually interacting with my device, all because a simple two taps can turn on the screen...

I'd appreciate if others would also vote my issue here, since this functionality wont even be on their newest $300 tracker, the Ionic: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Ability-to-Disable-quot-Tap-to-Wake-quot-Feature... apparently you need to win a popularity contest to get a basic usability feature implemented.)

Thanks,

A very annoyed and disappointed user that wants their Fitbit to give them some peace
