Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

This is a great idea!  Even more so with the newer Fitbits, which have bigger and brighter screens.  My Charge used to illuminate all the time and wake me, now Ive got the Blaze with a bigger screen this is more likely to happy.  I have switched off quick view for the moment so I dont have to switch it off and on each day at bedtime and waking; sometimes Im tired and might forget. As most Fitbits already know when you're asleep, it would be great to go one step further and put the screen in sleep mode. Keeping my fingers crossed for the update!

I am one of those people up and down sleep wise alllll night i do love being able to check the time on my Charge HR.

But it does tend to get um smacked/bumped at night also when my monster either kicks the covers off or grabs my arm to wrap around him at night. (yes, my child sleeps with my husband and I)
Its literally blinding when it turns itself on usually while facing him & the husband.

My request is actually just for a sinkable/control feature in the app to be able to just turn down the screen brightness on the band.

Sorry if this was somewhere else. But i did not think it matched the others asking for the screen lock

Hi, I would like to have this option on my Fitbit Charge HR:
-Quick View: Disable Sample clock during sleep 😉

Hello,

'Quick view' -feature at night doesn't work when you are sleeping (meaning it will light up the display distrupting your or your spouses sleep)

Please make a settings so when can adjust when 'quick view' -feature is on for example on from x to x (from example 8am to 23pm)

Please add a feature to Fitbit iOS app that will allow you to turn device syncing on/off when using multiple devices. So you don't have to see the device in the main app screen.

Yes, this is my one complaint about my fitbit. It seems so bright in the middle of the night!

Hopefully this will be implemented very soon! It's a great idea!

Agreed, I'd love to be able to schedule times quick view is off (for me it's the worst in the evening when I'm trying to put my little one to sleep, every time I move the light comes on and wakes her back up, it also annoys my dh.

The Blaze even on dim is much too bright at night! It's very unconducive to go back to sleep after being shocked by the brightness. Please give an option for an even lower brightness setting!

It would be nice if the "glance" feature could be automatically disabled during selected hours. It keeps lighting up the room whenever I roll over in my sleep. I had to turn it off on my Charge but would hate to limit the Blaze like that. Thanks for your consideration!

I'm having this same problem, the screen comes on at night and it iterrupts my sleep. It would be great to have a setting for the screen to sleep like you suggested above.

Before I sleep, I turn off Ouick view and set Brightnes to 'dim' but this doesn't solve the problem. Perhaps Fitbit should include another option in the 'Brightness' setting such as 'dark' or 'lights out'? Or since Fitbit Blaze can detect when one is asleep, it should also automatically go to 'lights out' setting so that one doesn't have to do this manually.

Love my Blaze but this is a must have feature. Love the quick view during the day but having to turn it off every night before bed is a pain. Need to have a schedule that can be user set.

I'm having the same issue. It was also coming on randomly during the day. After a chat with Fitbit support the other day it was discovered the sensitivity is so high that tapping anywhere on the band will turn on the display. Smiley Sad

It would be nice if the Blaze had an option to switch to night mode when it realises you are asleep.
In night mode, I'd like to see it disable 'quick view' and 'notifications'.
When asleep, or trying to sleep, it's not ideal to have the screen lighting up or vibrating.
Thanks

The only thing support is going to tell you to do about it is turn off quick view. Because we all know that the last thing after a long day you are thinking about is turning off quick view on your Fitbit. Then in the morning the first thing you obviously think about is turning quick view back on... Come on Fitbit offer real solutions!!! FYI I emailed about this and that was the solution they offered.. I even suggested a "night mode"...

Ahh. Glad I'm not the only one then. It does seem like quite a simple programming request.
Maybe they'll get round to it one day.

Night mode would be an awesome idea!! I have my screen set to dim and it is still super bright O_O. I've actually been woken up by it a few times 😞

But you can disable quick view and notifications. Me personally I like to be able to see the time during the night

I am a new owner to the blaze and I was thinking about this last night. I really wish when the blaze kicks in sleep mode is to switch the quick view off..

When putting your phone on its DND mode, no notifications will be sent to your Blaze.

On the Blaze there is not a, per say, sleep mode, after a sync the server looks at the data to determine what your sleep was.

I was sent to this post by FitBit's customer service twitter after complaining there. I no longer wear my FitBit when I sleep because the light from the quick view wakes up my S.O. even after disabling the quick view.

I really like the sleep data, but I like spooning more.

Really like to see this feature added.  Every night I turn off the quick view and then turn it back on in the morning.  Notification mute in night mode would also be nice!

So I just bought my Blaze yesterday, am so happy with it! My only "gripe" is that when in bed, it is constantly waking up, lighting up my bedroom and burning my retinas with the power of 1000 suns. I think a "bedtime" mode would be good, because we could engage the mode, and it would turn off the auto on feature with the wrist.
