The food database is out of date. Please create a way to update it. Scanned barcodes return incorrect information.

Hi there, @Caliban. Thanks for sharing those ideas. We wanted to let you know that some of the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Product Feedback Board. You can see them here where you can add your vote to those existing product feedback:

You also had shared a unique product feedback, so we have retitled and relabeled your original post here to reflect that idea. Please try to make sure you only post one idea per product feedback, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable, and see which idea other members are voting for. Thanks for participating in Product Feedback.

I would add to this, that I have, many times, used the "submit to database" option when barcodes come back not found, and I have not seen a single product added to the database. Does Google still have a process for adding to and fixing the database? If not, please remove this option so users do not waste their time.

I often scan barcodes and find that the information that pops up in fitbit app is incorrect and even product names differ from what the product packaging says. This really needs to be fixed. How can i track food, nutrition and calories without this? I am considering looking for a better tracker if it’s not updated to be more accurate
