Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

I called Fitbit and talked with Tech support. All they told me was the new
Flex out last year was "water-resistant". It could get wet but you needed to
dry it off and it was only water-resistant for a short period of time. I
could not get a full answer.

I think Apple has one that is fully waterproof but I don't know the features
- like exercise type entry and all the newer features that made the results
more accurate. There may be a better product out there by now. There are all
kinds of fully waterproof cameras you can even dive with (we have one) and
fully waterproof watches for the same.

The Flex bands keep breaking so much now you can buy them in replacement
packs of 3.

I'm done with Fitbit. I had the big one, can't think of the name, but my
husband and I don't wear them anymore. When we went to that newest one
(then) it would no longer sync to the Aria weight scale and Fitbit said they
had no idea had to fix it.problem for everyone.

The whole thing got to be more of a hassle than was worth it.

Well I have never had a problem with the flex bands coming off or breaking. Nor have I ever lost my Fitbit. The only problem is the bands get very dirty and had to remove the stain.

I would love to have a waterproof tracker that also contains a clock on it. I kayak a lot in the summer and I don't want to have to use both a watch and a tracker if I can have a device that is both. I'm a huge fan of Fitbit products, but I may be forced to go a different direction just for practicality.

It's hard to believe that people are paying over $200 for a Fitbit, spend countless hours running with it on everywhere, and sleep with it on, and then just one time forget to take it off in the shower, and it's ruined for good. No refunds, no replacements.
When is Fitbit going to meet up with the times and waterproof their devices???

Yes! I love this idea! Waterproof them all! Add the swimming workout to the workout menu on all of them while you're at it! 🙂

This is worth the R&D effort to bring to fruition. The only reason I should have to buy a new device is if you create a new device with better features, not because i got a fitness device wet. Even if a frangible piece of the device could be replaced after it wore out, this would be excellent. I want my surfing to be trackable!

Longer vibrate options for text messages.   Waterproofing!    Constant face screen light up.    Date in mm/dd form

It would be nice if you add more Adventure Challenges such as the Vernal Falls. Somewhere like Rockies, Sedona, or some international trails would be nice also.

I would love the fitbits to be waterproof. I have to do a LOT of handwashing throughout my day and short of wearing the fitbit round my elbow (which I can't as the strap is not long enough!) I am constantly having to remove it and which is now wearing out the wristband with all the on/off activity.

I also wonder how hygienic it really is to be wearing something all the time without it ever being able to be washed. In a hospital or catering setting you just cannot afford poor hygiene so if it could be made waterproof that would be a massive bonus.

I'm sure they'll make these things waterproof sooner or later. It's just a matter of time.

I agree that having water proof would be awesome

The Charge HR 2 has all the functions I need - this is my 3rd Fitbit and a great upgrade - but it can't be worn in the pool and that's so disappointing for someone who hates to remove it even for recharging the battery!

Yes I loved my Fitbit but it became too much of a hassle - take it off for a
shower, no water sports (kayak a lot), my battery started to not hold a
charge for more than a day. I need a waterproof to make it worth the money.
I swim, kayak, work in my yard where I often use the hose without
remembering the Fitbit was on my arm.

I have called Fitbit multiple times and get different answers. They tell me
the Flex 2 is totally waterproof and then the next person says no it is only
"water resistant" and you have to dry it off immediately. You think they
would have figured this out by now. Have multiple devices - my camera, my
phone, GoPro etc. that are waterproof and I'm tired of having to constantly
worry and take off the Fitbit. We went to the Charge because it had so many
more features but it has no water protection anything. Calorie counts for
exercise are inaccurate because the Flex will not let you say what exercise
you are doing. We bought the Aria scale which no longer syncs with the later
Fitbits so is useless except as a regular weight scale.

I have heard Apple? Has one that is totally waterproof but haven't done any
more research.

I stopped wearing mine nearly a year ago and will never buy another one. The
company doesn't know what they are doing and are not keeping up with the
needs of their users. We who exercise do more than walk.

Thanks for the feedback!

I love that they have made at least one of their products waterproof!  They all need to be waterproof!!  I need the waterproof since I teach swimming and I need one with a watch because phones are not allowed in the pool and I do not want to wear a watch AND a fitbit.    I am looking at other options for a waterproof fitness tracker and will have to leave my fitbit at home.   This makes me sad because my friends compete all of the time on the challenges.

Yes please! This may also solve the other issue of the charging leads being exposed to the skin.

Hi,

A waterproof Surge would be nice!
If the straps where changeable AND it was waterproof is would be PERFECT!

Thanks you very much...

I would love to see the devices made waterproof and track swimming data.  Many people choose swimming as a competitive sport.  It would be a great tracking tool for training.  Also as people age, many people swim because it causes less joint stress.  With a heartrate chart overlay it could be very helpful and informative.

Only had mine for 2 days and completely forgot when washing my hands!

please add a waterproof Fitbit to the product set!

I'm a bit perplexed that all the Fitbit aren't waterproof.... for folks to wear it 24/7 and not get it wet is a riduculous idea. I love my Charge 2 but I would wear it more often if I never had to take it off to wash dishes several

times daily. Get caught in the rain... bathing children... normal every day stuff! I could care less how mamy

flightd of stairs it "thinks* I climb as I've found it to be inaccurate anyway but only pertaining this that feature...

i love the community of the Fitbit but honestly I'm glad I bought it but their is always room for improvement!

Shouldn't Fitbit make a case for the Blaze that's waterproof, and non-expensive? I would buy it, and it would solve all the complaining about waterproofing the Fitbits.

It will still measure my heart rate in a plastic bag, snapped into the frame.

The saddest thing is there Fitbit doesn't have a single device that can measure heartrate and count laps.

"Swimming? Never heard of it" - says Fitbit to all us swimmers.

Hi,
I live in Singapore ( = raining almost every day) and as much as Singapore tries its best to make rain more tolerable, you just can't avoid it altogether...
I have had a fitbit for 1 year and got it changed twice because the band would come off (even though I was extra careful). Not a huge issue since fitbit replaced it for free but on the long run it's bad for them and bad for the consumer ! I wonder if it's not simply because of humidity.

Hope fitbit comes up with a solution for this, maybe just a better glue would do the trick Smiley LOL
