Weather App on the new Charge 5

Any idea when beaucse we've been skiing about hsi for months and Im currently in the process of selling mine and buying a different service... if this doesn't get changed.....

Pls advise how long for weather and calendar app back on charge 5s..

So disappointed with the lack of options that were available on C4 and not on C5 that I have moved on to Amazafit GTS 2 mini. Fitbit/Google you are going to lose many other loyal users if you don't watch it!

Used the Weather App all the time on my Charge 3 - Seems odd that a more updated device lacks this very important information.  Please add it ASAP.    Also, how will we all know when it is available?  Thanks.

@Chitown15 Well since I requested this almost a year ago and it hasn’t even moved to “under consideration” yet, my guess is that  Fitbit has no plans to add a weather app to the Charge 5. I wish they’d just come out and make that clear instead of letting people think it might happen. My guess is they are already working on a future “Charge 6” and the Charge 5 is not even on their minds at this point. This is Fitbit. They have the best app, so much awesomeness and potential awesomeness, yet they drop the ball on something as simple as adding a weather app to a tracker. I’ve used my different Fitbits off and on since 2016 and I’ve come to understand that this is just how they roll. Oh well. Here’s hoping a Charge 6 has a weather app.

I agree. I wonder if Fitbit just hopes people give up on the poor features of the Charge and switch to more expensive models like the Sense and Versa, which have weather app!

I too would like to see the weather feature on the Fitbit Charge 5.  It's much more convenient to see it on my device at a moment's notice.  I set the notification in my Fitbit app to show weather on my device, however it shows the weather every so often.  Not necessarily when I want to see it.

I have tried to figure out to what reason Fitbit doesn't have the weather app. I have been reading a bunch of the comments and also am very disappointed that this wasn't considered!

Fitbit has the technology - they have had the feature on previous versions.  It would be helpful if Fitbit would reply and give a reason for omitting the Weather app.  OR even better, give a date for integrating it into the Charge 5 - and quickly.  The key here is real communication from the organization to the entire community of users.  Thanks

I see you have noted the over 491 likes and 180 comments requesting the weather app on the new Charge 5. I love the Charge series and would never go over to the Versa (too big) or another model. It would be nice if you could UPDATE THIS FEED please and let us know where FitBit stands with the weather app instead of the more generic reply "If this suggestion receives votes from other customers and gains popularity, it will be shared internally with various teams at Fitbit. To learn more about how Fitbit decides which suggestions get developed, visit FAQs." That is not helpful. I need to know if the weather app is coming BEFORE I update my device because I will be switching to Apple if the weather app is not coming down the pipe for Charge 5. Please help consumers make the most informed choice.

Thank you for posting this! I also really like the small Suze if the Charge series. The Sense is HUGE.  But given Fitbit's  apparent disregard for its customers in making the Charge 5 have FEWER popular features than previous models (I had a Charge 3 and now unhappily a Charge 5) I too am looking at other brands with the options I want.  Tendrella

Yup,like all other commenters I'm hugely disappointed to see that my Charge 4 which unfortunately died during warranty has the weather app, but the Charge 5 which I got today and that cost more and is newer is lacking this what I thought to be a basic app.

One more vote for this and also next time I may go for something  else 😞

Please bring back the weather app! I used this function daily and didn't realize it would be lost when upgrading to the 5. Between the weather & Spotify app disappearing, I may just take back the new 5 and go back to my old 4 😕

Yes yes yes - please include the weather app & clockface with weather!!! Just upgraded from C3 to 5 and am seriously considering taking it back to the store .. No one wants to be tied to their smartphone for info you need several times a day! Please Fitbit, listen to us and give us the weather info. This should not be a big ask to a company such as yours?

Let's get the weather app back on charge 5. I am very disappointed

We need the weather app on the charge 5. That was one of the most used apps.  Very disappointing when I opened charge5 and it's not there.

Yes, please add the weather app back. I only got the Charge 5 because my Charge 4 broke (just outside of warranty of course). Disappointed that there is no weather. If you need a place to put it, you can remove the ridiculous EDA scan app.

Hey let's go my friend! I just got my charge 5 today and as my first Fitbit was charge 3 and then upgraded to charge 4 and just now to charge 5 was mind blown to go to check the weather as I was sweating up a storm just sitting and thought "what's the weather out right now here" and when I went to my Fitbit for answers only to realize it had none was very disappointed and maybe even a bit flustered and angry as I am so used to with the charge 3 and charge 4 having that right there for me.

I know this post will only grow in popularity with those who have the charge 5 and the very fact they removed this app will probably decrease the number of people who get the charge 5 witch will as well decrease the amount of popularity of this post. This leaves it to the few of us who did get the charge 5 to fight for this as this is not where I thought the charge series was going. Hard core charge series, but charge 5 you disappointed me! I hope this is a software update to fix it, but if not the charge 6 is literally just going to be charge 5 with the apps that never should have been removed in the first place. Already missing my charge 4 a little bit and have had this new charge 5 for less than 12 hours.
