Developing apps for the Fitbit Charge 5

Is there any way to use the Fitbit studio to develop apps/extensions for the Fitbit Charge 5?

Alas no. Charge is a tracker rather than a smart-watch.

I was looking at the possibility of developing a workout tracker similar to the alarm setup. I think that would be neat.

Well that's a bummer. I'm a developer that just got a Charge 5, not for anything smartwatch but just for my health. However, it seems like it should just be stock that it would tell you your phone battery level but it doesn't. Often times I have my phone charging across the house and want to see if it's done. Since I'm always wearing this thing now I should be able to check without going to my phone every 20m to check. I was about to develop an app and now that I discovered this I'm disappointed I didn't get a smart watch version.

@wesblake not even the "smart watches" Sense 2 and Versa 4 support apps development so there is no hope at all that Fitbit is going to support the trackers
