For consistency of appearance, it would be good for Fitbit to supply a standard set of images to use on our clockfaces, such as icons for steps, heart rate, calories etc.
It would be even better if Fitbit provided standard code modules to display this information, to match what Fitbit already displays, such as progress to target arcs with the relevant icon within. Developers could then position these on their clockfaces as appropriate and the standard health/fitness display appearance would be provided with the time display being the unique feature. We could set up configuration to decide what appears where, to give flexibility to the overall appearance.

The idea is fine, as long as its use was optional, not mandatory. Because the standard appearance cuts off the creativity.

Yeah. How, when and where and, as you point out, if, we use it would then be up to us. I guess if Fitbit don't provide it, we'd build up our own components. Just think this would be useful to have a standard set - I never like to create components that have already been made elsewhere.

We definitely have more documentation and resources to produce for developers, this is all great feedback, thanks Nev!

These messages are from September - don't suppose these exist anywhere yet?

We don't have any component of this kind for now, but we are working on a clock face with the following information: time, heart rate, calories and steps count. We will share the code on GitHub so you'll be able to use it as a starting component if you want. We'll let you know as soon as the repository is available.
