No Real Time API

I’m using a 3rd party fitness app called Studio. A feature of the app connects w/ your heart rate monitor to earn fitness points. The app supports Apple Watch and other heart rate monitors. Sadly I learned from their Help site that my new Fitbit Charge 3 is not supported because, “certain devices like the Fitbit doesn't provide support for a real time API, so we aren't able to support that device today.”

Is is this something you’re working on? You’re going to lose business to Apple if you can’t support other Apps.

The web API only has access to your Fitbit account, not the tracker.

The Versa and ionic lines allow third party apps to have access to the heart rate and it would be possible for studio to write an app for these models.

Ok. I bought the Charge 3, so unfortunately that doesn’t help. Thanks.

Maybe, Strava will get your heart rate during a gps recorded activity.
