SVG designed in inkscape throws errors

After a search, I found a reply from 2018 that you do not support SVGs designed in illustrator, due to lack of support for certain elements.

Has this changed at all? I've designed an SVG in inkscape, but it's throwing every error under the sun when I use it.

The documentation I've found online has little clarification on what cannot be used, example, filters.

Is there another design tool you would recommend?

You can't use SVGs as images. A subset of PNG and JPG are supported.

The only role of SVG in Fitbit is to define the layout of elements on the display (and it's a bit non-standard).
