When will the SDK for Sense 2 be available?

I got a Sense 2 fully expecting to be able to develop at least clock faces for it - now I find out that development is not supported on it (yet?). If I have to wait for an eventual release of the SDK, that is almost satisfactory - but I don't want to wait if there are no plans to release the SDK. I would return the watch if that is the case. How is it possible that there are clock faces available in the gallery for the Sense 2 if development isn't supported? How were they developed? Can watch faces developed for the Sense 1 be used? Can I switch the clock face I wrote for the Sense 2 to Sense 1 and use that in the meantime?

The Sense 2 SDK will be released "soon".

Thanks for the quick reply! Are you quoting Fitbit ("soon")? Any other options for developing in the meantime? I adapted my Versa watch face for the Sense and got it working in the emulator. Seems like it should work in the Sense 2 watch. I see other independent developers have watch faces in the gallery for the Sense 2 - how did they develop them?

There's a post by JonFitbit that equates to "soon" in the (unofficial) Fitbit dev discord. Unfortunately, this forum forbids links to discord posts (or to official Fitbit dev blog posts!).

Hi @JakeScott - Fitbit ported some clock faces to the Sense 2/Versa 4 watches.

Developers cannot develop, or support, for the Sense 2/Versa 4 watches in the Gallery or even for your own watch currently.

Soon can mean anything other than not available now, it is an indeterminate time frame. It merely indicates an intention.
