I believe the sensor does exist, but we're not planning on exposing an API at this time.

Does the watch have a temperature sensor as documented in the manual?

Interesting question, does it even have a temperature sensor?
I know a lot of CPUs have internal temperature sensors to check their own temperature for health.
Is this a case of marketing department skimming the spec sheet from the hardware department without reading it properly.

Hope not. Was one of the things that caught my eye when reading the manual. Could make for interesting app / stats.

Thanks for your response. No current plan for an API. Understood.
Can you please clarify one thing: Does the Ionic even have a temperature sensor as indicated by the Fitbit supplied "General Info and Specs" posted by @kmpm?

I do not understand how a serious company that manages this brand recognized as fitbit, publish advantages of the product that finally can not be used. That can mean a false offer. temperature sensor is a measure that everybody need use

Hi,
is there any updates on your decision about providing the API?
I can bet integrating this feature into our app would result in a considerable increase in Fitbit ionic.
