internet detection by companion

This is not an issue, it is rather an option.
I try to detect in the compagion file if the device is connected to the internet or not.

To be more precise, I need this to call an external API by internet link if internet is available or not if internet is not available.
Is there a call to do this?

Send a request to the companion and if it gets successfully sent then its connected, if its not connected to Wi-Fi then it won't send I think.
