I just got my Sense 2 and have no idea how to install apps. Where is the app store? For example, I would like to install the Calendar app.

It's kind've flaming garbage is what it is.

If its simply a fitness tracker they would do themselves a HUGE favor by taking it out from under the gigantic 54 Point font that reads: "SMART WATCHES" on the front page of the Fitbit site.

Same here. Very disappointing. Looks like I will return. Shame on fitbit. Non-sense for sure.

I can access find the Gallery tile in my Sense 2 (profile pic -> Sense 2 -> Gallery).

In the Apps tab, there are only a handful of official fitbit apps only. The Clocks tab have some 3rd party watch faces, but some high profile ones such as bitmoji are missing.

I also read a public SDK is not yet available for Sense 2. It looks like fitbit has only selected a few 3rd party watch faces from Sense and makes them available for now.

And that's the core issue. We were expecting a Smartwatch and that's not what we got.

Remember that your warranty begins the day you have it, not the day they decide to make your watch fully functional 3-4 months down the road. So when the watch dies a year and a half in, you had a fully functional watch for 2/3 of the time you had it. Lovely!

I agree it is like trading your Ferrari in for a mini after being sold on the specs that the mini was faster and better

The point is these features were all on the predecessor, it looks like we went from windows 10 to windows 3.1 even though windows 11 is available

I contacted Spotify customer service yesterday to ask if their app was in the works to be extended to the Sense 2 and they said it is not. They told me to reach out to Fitbit and tell them it is something I, as the consumer, am interested in. Not looking promising for third party apps on this watch. Fitbit/Google has the data to know what features and apps were most used in the original Sense and could have easily extended them to the next generation but they CHOSE not to. We shouldn't have to wait weeks for a basic calendar event app to show events/meetings on our Google calendars.

My return label said I had from the day I ordered it and not the day I received it... or even launch day. (I preordered) so don't be surprised if they apply that to the warranty too

Seems to be more of an unfinished product.

Maybe fitbit is doing at least "something"... 😂 Welcome page of apps on gallery web is showing selection of apps (offcourse not compatible), before it was empty, and (OT) I was finally able to add cards to fitbit pay... Anyway I am waiting month with my return warranty and then decide...

The Spotify App is written by Fitbit and not Spotify, so yes it may be better to ask fitbit.

@LissaxKristine legally the warranty can not start before the day it was purchased.

Is it just me?

It used to work for a while. But when I click the "Gallery" tile now to access the "app store", it showed "Oops, looks like there's no Internet connection" for quite some time. Is fitbit upgrading the app store or the services aren't stable?

I can connect but there are no apps other than the pre installed anyway

I just got the Sense 2 yesterday after a year of having the Fitbit Luxe, I thought it was time for an upgrade. However, I cannot download any apps whatsoever. I've looked at my family and friends' watches (who have Versas 2, 3 and Sense 1) and they all have music control or Spotify or 3rd party apps. When I go onto the gallery the only thing I can download is watch faces.

It seems from reading that the Sense 2 doesn't support any 3rd party apps! I want to know if this is just because the device is brand new, or if they have no plans at all to allow 3rd party apps on Sense 2. If so, I'm not entirely sure why I've paid almost 3 times the amount I did for a tracker... when Sense 2 is supposed to be a smartwatch. What is the point of having a newer watch without the capabilities/features that the older watch offers?

If anyone has any insight as to if/when Fitbit may allow 3rd party apps (if they will at all) that would be great. Or if Fitbit has completely cut them out and I need to return the watch and stick to my Luxe.

Hi @reid88 - unfortunately there is no news as to when or if or how any apps will be made available for the Sense 2. The Sense 2 is a different platform, not an upgrade, as quite a few things have been dropped or are not fully implemented. It has no Google Assistant, phone call or music capability.

As you are in the refund window it may be best to get a Versa 2 which still has music and apps and reliable parts, it costs a lot less as they are on offer too.

If things change or become certain in future then reconsider the situation or just stick with the Luxe.

@Guy_ Thanks. I got my Gallery working when I disabled my Wi-Fi but my cellar connection. I disabled the air protection on my Wi-Fi routers but it didn't help either. Thanks.

I raised a feature request to support 3rd party apps in https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Support-third-party-apps-and-clock-faces-and-Sen...

Please kindly vote for it if you are interested.

@asiayeah - thanks, did you verify each of the options listed in the link,  on the phone? It's likely due to the phone settings.

@asiayeah Actually there are some 3rd party clockfaces. For example from Drips from Lignite
