Cannot set up App notifications on Sense 2

Hi

I'm just setting up my new Sense 2, trying to sort notifications for apps (whatsapp, twitter etc).  I've followed everything I can find on here ie going into fitbit app, clicking sense 2, notifications and app notifications but the only thing that shows in there is Messenger.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Lou

Hi @millsee - this only affects Apple, you may need to receive a notification for the app to appear in the list.

Of course the app must raise a notification in the first place and the phone be able to display them

A logout/login may be necessary to accelerate the process.

Confirm or adjust these settings:

  • Bluetooth—Bluetooth technology allows your phone to communicate with the Fitbit device. Verify that Bluetooth is on.
  • Do Not Disturb—This feature prevents your phone from sending notifications. Verify that Do Not Disturb is off
  • Notifications—Your phone must be set to receive notifications before they can be sent to your Fitbit device. Check these settings:
    • For Phone, Calendar, and Messages, make sure Allow Notifications and Show in History are on.
    • For Messages, also make sure Show on Lock Screen and Show as Banners are on.
    • If your Fitbit device can receive app notifications make sure you can receive app notifications on your phone. For example, you can receive Facebook notifications on your Fitbit device, but only if you also receive them on your phone. Find the notifications permissions under Settings > Notifications and use the same settings you used for Messages.

Thanks for the tips!

Everything is on that should be, a few more apps are now showing on the list but not all of my apps. At least I’m getting some notifications now 🙂

Ah that makes sense! Each app i've had a notification from on my iPhone since setting up the device is now showing in the app list. All working well now 🙂 Thank you!

@millsee   Half of the information given by @Guy_ is correct.  Your App Notification list will be empty when you set up a new device on an iPhone.  You must get a notification and then you must toggle it on.  A logout/login does not speed up the process.  Keep checking your App Notification list for new additions.
