Clocks app missing on Sense 2

My Versa2 has a Clocks app which facilitates easy/quick switching (using the watch, not the phone app) between the 5 clock faces installed. However, I just got the Sense 2 for my wife and it doesn’t appear to have a Clocks app, and the manual only makes mention of the Fitbit app on the phone. So, to switch between clock faces you need to use your phone?? What then is the use of being able to install 5 clock faces on the watch? This feature should be returned to the Sense 2!

Hi @HowardL168.

Unfortunately the quick switching of clock faces on the device itself seems to have been removed. Whether or not this will be added in a future update, Fitbit hasn't said.

I would recommend creating a feature suggestion (here) as this is the official route to request that things be added.

Hi,

Just got my Sense 2 but I cannot see the "Clock Faces" app in which we can quick switch among the saved clock faces on the watch.

So far I was abble to change the face only by using the cell phone app.

I cannot see the app available to download. Am I missing something?

@PCBL   I don't own a Sense 2, but I found this hands on video by The Wearable Whisperer.  I don't see a clocks app either.  The manual also says you need to change clock faces in the app.  So I don't think you are missing anything.  I also noticed there is no Agenda app, either.

Hi @PCBL - there is no possibility to change the clock face on the Sense 2 or Versa 4 - it must be done in the Fitbit App.

Thanks for the link (to make suggestion for changes). I’m not sure (do you
know?) if the developer responds to these, but it’s certainly worth a try.

Hi everyone, it's good to see you here. @LZeeW@Guy_ and @N8teGee Thanks for your help.

@HowardL168 and @PCBL Thanks for your question and research. As our friends mentioned, let me explain the Clocks app isn't available for the Sense 2 and Versa 4. I understand your thoughts about being able to switch the clock faces right from your watch, and I'd also recommend voting for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestions board so our developers can take it into consideration.

Your feedback is appreciated and we'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for you.

I find it surprising / sad that in order to get the clock app on the Sense 2 we need to vote for a Feature Request given that it's present on its predecessor and many of the Versa model. Hopefully it will be added back soon.

Hi @adriano72 - as finite steps have been taken to remove features from the Sense 2 it is pretty unlikely they will get added back regardless of feature suggestions.

There are already a number of significant feature suggestions, such as dark theme for the app or flip screen for the watch for left handed people, that have been around years with no signs of implementation.

Hi there, @adriano72@Guy_ Thanks for sharing your insights about this situation.

Thanks for the details provided. I understand where you're coming from about not having the Clocks app available on the Sense 2, and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. While we don't have more details of what features might be released by our team, I still recommend supporting any idea shared in the Feature Suggestions board. That's the best way to let our developers know what features you'd like to see in the future.

I appreciate your feedback and we'll keep working to improve our devices, as well as the experience with them. If you want to learn more about this board, see our FAQs.

Please understand and convey to Fitbit that, in addition to the frustration of functionalities being removed, I’ve been a supportive customer who (based on that product support) “blindly” “pre-ordered” the Sense2 (for my wife) before it came out so that she could get the watch as soon as it was available. That (“blindly”) is, I “assumed” the Sense2 would have everything (and “more” that the original Sense has (which I had helped my brother-in-law to buy after I’ve been happy with my Versa2). The fact that Sense2 is a “downgrade” has been shocking to say the least! 😡

Couldn't agree more about the "downgrade" of Sense 2.

The removal of this feature is not mentioned in any press releases and product description.

This is so eroding my trust in Fitbit. Fitbit Team, you really need to bring this back.
