Whilst exercise I’ve noticed more than once it turns off the exercise mode and goes back to watch. Very annoying As I have to keep restarting the exercise.
Any suggestions
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
Press the side button to go to App list.
Select Exercise
Select desired activity (ie Run)
Before you start, scroll down through the selection buttons until you see Auto-pause.
Turn that Off
You can also setup other behaviors like turning on the GPS for that exercise.
You have to do this for most exercise activities.
@Fitmumx Is it possible your hand or arm are accidentally hitting the button on the side and pausing or ending the workout? That was an issue with previous buttons on the Versa series, which is why the Sense and Versa 3 were changed to the capacitive "button".
Anytime I launch the exercise app on my sense2, it immediately crashes and goes back to the watch face. I've rebooted several times both through the UI on the sense2 directly, and hard rebooting it, and nothing works, it just keeps crashing.
Also, when I go out for a run, it autodetects the exercise, and asks me if I want to start a run, and if I click the "Play" icon, it crashes and takes me back to the watch face.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members. @Tony0054 and @Heather-S Thanks for your great help!
@Fitmumx and @Mill3rman Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and the steps tried prior to posting. I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry for the experience. To look into this and as our friend mentioned, may I know if the button was unintentionally pressed when doing your exercise? Or does it happen even when you're still? Did you also try restarting your watch with the steps described here?
Please reply back with this information, as this will help me to investigate on my end.
Best Answerit just turns off. It could be because my arm has pressed the button but this shouldn’t happen. And some times it’s even completely rebooted by itself whilst exercising.
if your doing a press up for example your watch should turn the exercise mode off. Bit of a design fault if it is. Unless something else can be done?
I am not having this problem at all. OG Sense had a ridiculous capacitive button that was difficult to press. Sense 2 has reverted to a physical button that is much easier to press. Is there any chance at all that your wrist is inadvertently pressing it via dorsiflexion during exercise? A quick test for that would be to put the Sense 2 on backwards so that the button is away from your wrist and try a workout that way - just to see if it still stops during the workout. If it still stops, then it is definitely not related to wrist dorsiflexion causing inadvertent button presses.

Hi there, @Fitmumx.
Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your experience with the Sense 2. Let me explain that sometimes during activities that require you to move your wrist a lot, you might unintentionally press the button on your watch. I'm sorry for this inconvenience and I'd suggest wearing your watch higher on your wrist to avoid hitting the button. You can check this help article for tips on how to wear your watch.

@Fmartin885 Welcome to the Community.
Thanks for sharing your experience with your Sense 2. While I understand your watch stops tracking your workout by itself, but may I know if your exercise required a lot of movement? As mentioned before, sometimes during certain activities the button might be pressed accidentally preventing your exercise from being recorded correctly.
Please try wearing your watch higher on your wrist to avoid hitting the button while doing exercise. If by any chance the issue persists, don't hesitate to let me know so I can continue helping you with this matter.

No I’m definitely not accidentally switching it off but it seems to only happen when I try to do HiiT. It literally sets for 5 minutes and then ends and goes back to the watch face and I can’t find how to extend the timing to start and end when I want it to???

Hi there, @Fmartin885.
You're welcome, and thanks to you for getting back with more details. In this case, let's try restarting your Sense 2 to refresh its performance, open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync. Then, open the Exercise app on your watch, try starting any exercise including HIIT and let me know if it goes back to the clock face. Look forward to your response.
Best AnswerAfter most recent update, I will start an exercise and the FitBit will stop / cut short the exercise. It will then notice that I am active and start again. Example, Treadmill (cut off halfway) restart Run, so I have 2 different (incorrect) records for the same exercise.
UPDATE: After update to the latest OS version, which took a bit and a few reboots, resolved this issue. My current version (mobile app) 3.72 (37268001).

I have this same issue when I track my walks. It has not done it to my runs yet, but it is a daily event for me now. I run every morning and then walk my puddy. It won’t let me update the exercise either. It has the option, but when I set it, it reverts immediately.
Frustrated

Nope, not my issue anyway.
