I bought a new fitbit sense 2. I was able to connect and setup initially without any issues. I was going to give it to someone and so did a factory reset. Now I am not able to setup my watch. It always gets stuck in the update part. On my phone it downloads from 0-69% rapidly and then my watch shows "Trying to connect Make sure your phone is near your fitbit device and bluetooth is turned on". Can you please help, this is really buggy and I feel like not buying from fitbit again. But I bought 2 of them and both of them face the same issue, so I need to fix these.

Hi, @rr2000 , just a long shot, but maybe go into your Bluetooth settings on the phone and see if the Sense 2 is still there. If so delete them and then try the Sense 2 set up again and see if that helps.

Hi @rr2000 - following a factory reset with the new Fitbit App you can get trying to connect, it may also be related to which account you are using, there may be a workaround, as suggested by @Julia_G, but if you are going to give it to someone else (in it's new condition) it should work for them when they install it for the first time.

I have exactly the same issue. Did a factory reset and now it keeps indicating “trying to connect” but it does not connect. Tried all kinds of ways but does not work. I think there is a bug in their software!

Hi @Philipwtlim - you are right the new V4 Fitbit App doesn't work properly.
You can see more in posts in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the appropriate iOS or Android app forums along with the other unhappy users.
Unfortunately Fitbit don't officially allow going back to the stable V3 version.

To conclude, Google has replaced the Sense 2 (sent by DHL) and now the new one works. Excellent follow up by Google to rectify the issue.
