I have had new Fitbit Sense for about 6 weeks.
It is very quirky about updating battery level after substantial recharging.
I usually charge it for 4 hours and when I undock it it still reports the old battery level (even though it is fully charged). I try synching it with my Android but the app also reports the false battery level reading. My only success in getting the battery meter to update itself is by undocking, redociking, undocking and redocking the watch to its charger. Sometimes that does the trick. But sometimes it does not. This is really frustrating.

I would sync it to the app again. Sometimes the app doesn't do a full sync, which may be why you're not seeing the updated battery life.

You don't think I've tried that?
😆
I sync it dozens of times after each episode.
It never cooperates.
This problem has been going on since I got the watch 6 weeks ago. The watch will be fully charged for hours before it finall6 decides to update its battery meter with the correct information..
There is a glitch in the watch. Not sure if it is hardware or software.

What I'm trying to tell you is your watch is fine. Something may not be right with how it was synced, which would be a software issue, not a firmware issue.

Please elaborate on your "how it was synced" theory. Is there more than one way to sync the watch with the Android app?

BTW, the reason I think the watch is the culprit (and not the synch process) is because the watch itself displays the wrong battery info, even before I issue a sync command.

Hi @npsaltos - the clue is in the charging, if it takes more than an hour to charge there is something wrong there.
Unplugging the the watch from the charge cable frequently is a bad idea. Instead unplug the USB.
Have you tried a watch restart recently?
And have you tried changing clock face if that is where you see the battery level?
A pull down on the watch face gives you Quick Settings where the watch shows battery level.
Charge cables are fragile and if the watch is not properly clean you will get charging issues, see How to check charge cable - Sense 2/Versa 4 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
You can chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo Help & support, Contact Customer, they may help you through a factory reset if it is still a problem.

Ok, I restarted the watch.
Then did a 1 hour recharge and the battery meter reported the correct "100%" immediately. So that seems to have fixed it.
Thank you!
