Ok. I’ve held on as long as I could. Google has killed Fitbit. It’s so sad to me. After submitting threads for the issues about the app incorrectly categorizing runs as walks and getting nowhere, no the GPS is highly inaccurate. I’ve used MapMyRun to track along with the Fitbit app, and Fitbit is way under in mileage.
So, if you’re breaking up with Fitbit too, where are we going next? I’ve considered Garmin ViviAvctive 5 and Apple Watch. I’m curious on your thoughts!

Although the GPS accuracy from your Sense2 andor smartphone via Fitbit app might be less accurate than desired, from my experience MapMyWalk tends to overestimate distance, as I am presuming its ''Run' counterpart by the same company does also.
As far as proverbially jumping to another ship for your wearable fitness tracker: model-wise I am not sure, but any of the Garmin's with multiband GNSS reception be among my top consideration. Another option that I have considered is Samsung's latest Watch because it includes sleepapnea detection (accurately, the hitherto studies suggest) and I have a Galaxy S series smartphone (though, with which I am not entirely pleased). There are several other top-tier brands worthy of consideration, including Apple.
For me myself, the weighty characteristics for me include: accurate precise hearteate recording, precise accurate builtin satellite receptor for positional tracking, and other well-calibrated biometric sensors/features. Along with this, highquality platform for viewing the activities (without needing to export *.tcx files) and eas ability to sort & download the files is a prominent consideration (though secondary to the device itself), which I am not too certain which is best in this regard although I would guessume that Garmin has a decent data-accesaibility fornits customers considering thatit implemented the first *.tcx format. Tertiary benefits such as builtin Apple/Google-l -pay are bonuses but unlikely to sway me by themself.
When you use your Sense2 to record parambulations, do you don't purposely i.e. select which type of workout 'activity from the watch? For I do, without much an issue in this regard.

Hi there. I do know how to use the app and my Sense 2. I've tried recording runs in every which way and never had any issues until. now. I didn't say that I think MapMyRun is all that accurate...that's why I changed to Fitbit years ago. I think that is what is so disappointing and sad. Fitbit was awesome! I know my routes and how long they are. I've clocked them with different methods, apps, etc. The current GPS logging in Fitbit is over 1/3 to 2/3 difference from all others tracking methods.
Thanks for your ideas about the other companies and products. I've considered Garmin and had one years ago. There were some things I didn't love about it, but I do think they are at the top-of-the-line with running. I hadn't looked into Samsung, so I will do that. I honestly think I'm going with Apple Watch at this point. My husband has one and absolutely loves it. I know the battery life there leaves something to be desired, but there are lots of features that seem to be relatively accurate. Plus, I need to be able to track weight training, yoga, etc. too.

Agreed. I think I'm going with Apple! Best of luck, and I truly hope they realize where they're headed because I've been a hardcore fan for a long time.

I've just replaced my dead Sense with the Sense 2 - I'm 3 weeks out from racing a Marathon and I am so frustrated with how bad the GPS is on the new watch! I don't understand how Google have managed to mess it up so badly.
I have been a hard-core fitbit fan for 5 years now and it sounds like we are all having similar issues. I really don't want to have to jump ship, but I think I might have to. Either that or try going back to the Sense or Versa. I never had issues with them previously.
Such a shame

I feel you!! This has been such a negative experience. I don’t think it’s the device. It’s the app for me that seems to be the source of all the issues. Ever since Google took over, it’s been one thing after another.
I'm wishing you the best in your marathon training!
