Google maps app not connecting

I have already rebooted my iPhone and my Fitbit, updated the software, charged them fully, uninstalled the Google map app, granted all of the permissions, took all other devices off of Bluetooth, etc., etc. When I open Google maps on my phone and start walking directions, the Google maps app shows on my Fitbit and shows “current trip” at the top and it’s trying to connect but continues to say “couldn’t connect to Google maps-fix issue“. Under that, grayed out, it shows auto-start (which I have turned on in the app). When I click on “fix issue”, it says make sure I have the latest version of Google maps on my phone (I do). Then it says, if still not working, tap Open and follow the instructions. It says to wait for a Fitbit notification and follow the instructions. I never see any notifications with instructions, but I have clicked on the Google maps icon from there and it shows “Setup complete“.   by the way, when I look at the Google map app on my Fitbit, it says that the version is v1.0.0 which obviously doesn’t make sense, especially when I have seen others post in this forum that their version is v3.7.3.  I have no idea how to get that version or if it’s available on the Versa 2.  I don’t know what else to do short of somehow completely wiping out all data on my Fitbit and starting over. I really need this for a trip in a few days. Thanks for any help.
