Has 3rd party app support started for sense 2 and versa 4? As i can see one! Also i am able to install it! Can any developer confirm whether the SDK has been released?

I doubt the developer had anything to do with porting it to Sense 2 but who knows?

Would be great if the developer @LuoJihao could tell us more. But I'm afraid it's just an experiment by Fitbit because the warning 'Not Optimized' as seen with a lot of watch faces.

Not sure if it is a bug or a feature but can confirm it works OK on my Sense 2

HI @rajat1048 - as @t.parker says, developers don't have any access to create apps for the Sense2/Versa 4, nor clock faces or support them.
What has happened is that Fitbit has "ported" some clock faces and possibly some apps now.
This is fully outside the control of developers and nothing has yet been pre-announced either about development coming on this platform.
So it may simply be a trial "porting".

I think i am still ok if they can port the old sense apps to sense 2. Atleast something is better than nothing 😀

Is the license agreement between Fitbit and their Developers so weak? I would assume the lawyers for the developers would sue, unless the developers get some revenue, but their image would be tarnished.
Sounds like a bad idea for Fitbit/Google to use someone's code/app without permission?
Would love to hear the developers side of this?
Do they get any royalties or something?

It's possible you're reading too much into this. How do we know Fitbit didn't already ask the developers?

Some developers have posted, they were not involved in the porting and have no way to update or support their apps, so I only have what was posted. That is why I am asking, I hope they are being asked and compensated for their hard work?
I don't have a Sense 2 and my Sense 1 does more at this time. Just hope the developers are getting what they should.

@rajat1048 - there is no guarantee or even timeline on what apps will be ported and by whom.
@Jdsenter - there is no license agreement for developers. They are free to develop but must agree to not infringe copyright.
Fitbit review submissions before allowing them to be posted in the Gallery.
@TLinkins - no Fitbit didn't ask before porting. They only give the developer the right to remove a ported app or clock.
There is a fair amount of secrecy about why it is this way.

Ah, I stand corrected. My bad.

looks like it was a "bug" as WellnessBuddy app is now compatible only with Sense 1 and Verse 3. Shame 😞

I guess it might be an experiment as mentioned earlier by @RonaldM. As i am also not able to locate this app now in the gallery.
But still i am keeping my hopes high that fitbit team will atleast support the already developed apps for older sense/versa and will port them to sense 2/versa 4.
