How do I install the Fitbit ECG app?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

My new Sense2 isn’t showing the ECG app. I can’t seem to find it anywhere, even going into the apps section in the Fitbit app itself.

I’m based in the Isle of Man, but that hasn’t seemed to be an issue with older fitbits.

I’d be so grateful for any tips!

Thanks!

If it is just new, give it a few days.  There are some apps that were not in the original version but were added later.  You will probably get a notice of a firmware update in a day or two that will add the ECG function.  At least wait a few days before you start doing anything to try to get it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @JohnnyRow and welcome @ErikaChristiano to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the ECG app in your Sense 2.

Note that the Fitbit ECG app is only available in select locations at this time. If you’re not in a supported location, you'll get an error message that the feature isn't supported in your location.

According to your location it seems that you usually use the UK as a country of residence. This being said, the app section in the Fitbit app that you mentioned is the Apps tab in the Gallery ?

To go there:

1. With your Sense 2 nearby, from the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon Sense 2.

2. Tap Gallery > Apps tab.

3. In the list of apps, tap ECG > Install.

Hi @ErikaChristiano.  I've seen other posts on this topic from Isle of Man residents, along with Channel Island residents.  Users asked about it in the Sense forum.  I think it is related to the unique nature of the Crown Dependencies.  Here is an interesting article: The British island that's not in the UK

I think users get around the issue by using a VPN that has a 'true' UK location.

There's no Devices icon on my Today screen. I live in the US. Shouldn't I be able to get the EKG feature with my Premium?

@Babbo302   The device icon is the one in the upper left of your app.  It looks like a smartphone and smartwatch and has your battery level.

The ECG feature doesn’t require Premium.

Thanks David, strangely I can’t see the ECG app anywhere in the app section, not even to show the error message for not being available. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks so much!

Hi @ErikaChristiano, thank you for your response.

Make sure your location is supported. Otherwise, you either may not find it available or get an error message. I appreciate your understanding.

Additional countries will be added as regulatory clearance is obtained.

Refer to Irregular Heart Rhythm for additional details.
