Had this Sense 2 less than 2 years. Worked great for a long time now won't sync unless I do it at home with my laptop ... trying with phone app usually gets about 1/2 through and stops. It might work a time or two after I've synced on laptop but then stops. Does not sync on its own.
Also, three times in the past couple months, the time has changed. And on one of those times, the date changed as well. Moved ahead one day. Yes, I've restarted/rebooted the watch but nothing works until after I get on my laptop and then some time later, it will correct itself.
Also, when charging, (yes, it is properly on charger), sometimes when it reads 100%, it will last for several days but sometimes barely a 24 to 36 hours. No, I do not change the settings to turn anything on. If anything, I turn more and more off but the watch will turn these back on when it wants (texts, phone notifications, etc.). Again, I have tried turning these off to save battery power but it has a mind of it's own.
I saw where someone mentioned the updated app and I tend to agree with them. The time/date changing and the syncing problems started about the same time. The charging issues with apps turning on at will has been ongoing and I keep turning these off. Don't know why I am paying for the extras as I never get the opportunity to use them for fear of running down the battery.
This is my fourth FitBit (2 charges and a previous Sense). I'm looking at Apple watches if I can't get this taken care of. Help please!

Thanks for letting me know all these situations with the Sense 2, we'll look into them one per one.
I understand the situation with the syncing, my best recommendation for this would be checking this article and making sure to follow the steps and tips in there. There are also certain steps you can do in regards the battery, please check this other article too, since the battery's life will last depending on what you do with your Fitbit.
And about the time in your Sense 2, this is also linked with the syncing, however, you can check the time zone in your Fitbit app.
