Lost my Sense2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, After only having my sense 2 for about 3 days, somehow, I managed to lose it in my home. I was wearing it earlier, but it must have fallen off. I Have tried to use several device finders to no avail, and it is syncing on a regular basis but no luck. Any suggestions? Is there a way I can send a signal to get it to make a sound?

Hi @SkyeT  if you can sync, you're in range of the device - about 25 feet. There is nothing that will get your device to make noise, unless you try sending a text to it and your notifications are set up. If it is, then sending a text or making a call to your phone, will cause your Sense to vibrate. Could be the vibration is enough to rattle a paper or buzz on a floor, so you can find it.

Thanks Odyssey, I'll try that. I'm pretty sure it's in my office someplace but unfortunately, I am in the process of doing a major cleanout of my office so it's a real mess. Fingers crossed! Skye

Hi @SkyeT - before the battery runs out try a phone locator app which detects the Bluetooth signal and some give an approximate distance due to changes in signal intensity. See What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device?

I have always had good luck with Findmyfitnestracker, formally Findmyfitbit.

I've located when lost in a store, home, and a friend's house. In 9 years I've only lost Fitbits a few times.

Thanks Rich, I"ll try that too. I just heard back from Fitbit that they are not obligated to replace or refund the Sense 2? I can hardly believe this! I've had it a total of 5 days and the band broke or came lose which is why I can't find it. So basically, if I can't find it, I am out the $300.00. This from a customer who has been a loyal Fitbit user since the company began!!!  Fingers crossed I can find it because if I can't, I won't be buying any more of their products and neither should anyone else!! @SkyeT  if you paid for your Fitbit with a credit card, check with the bank. Sometimes they offer insurance that we're not even aware of, unless we ask. Some people have had good results in filing a claim and getting their money. It can't hurt to check with your bank care issurer.

Odyssey, Good idea, if I can't find it I'll do that.  The Fitbit finder sees it, (Sense 2), but the highest it gets is 79% then every other direction it goes down, cools off. Frustrating.  I lookedin the area, Nada. Skye

To all of you who took the time to help me...thank you so much! I found it!!  In the end I tried the Wunderkind app and it worked perfectly.  Thanks to you all for your time and advice. The only bad thing is that I now have a terrible opinion of the Fitbit company regarding the way I was treated.  While I realize that big companies get scammed by some people/buyers, they should still provide a product that can be easily found if they are going to have a no-money-back policy like that. Just my two cents.  Thanks again, Skye 🙂

@SkyeT - thanks Skye, glad you found it. I find the worst thing about losing something is not knowing where you lost it!

Was going to suggest if you have a dog train him to look for it in case you lose it again!

Haha, Maybe Fitbit should supply a dog service to find their products!  Unfortunately, while my cats are well-trained, I doubt finding a Fitbit is doable lol. I'll get another dog someday, Skye
