I had this same issue happen last week! Thank you for documenting it! I will attempt to open a case with FitBit support.

As a followup on my earlier post, not long after the metal strips fell off, a couple weeks ago the entire thing bricked itself during an update that we didn't initiate or approve -- just walked in to find it bootlooping on the charger. Only stopped when the battery died. Fitbit Support was utterly useless, having us do things we'd already tried (and TOLD them we'd tried) numerous times. Ultimately they offered a discount on a replacement that brought the price down to within a few dollars of the Black Friday sale that was already going on. The device was only 18 months old when the metal strips fell off and only about 20 months old when it bricked itself, but Fitbit apparently couldn't care less. Really shameful. Wondering if anyone has had any luck with a situation like this with their Sense 2 and had suggestions for other avenues to try.

Same thing happened to me just this morning. I'm not sure mine is under warranty or not.

Did you get anywhere? Mine is just over a year old and same things happened. If you did could you let me know what you did?

Buying another Sense 2 after seeing 44 pages of people with myriad problems is the very height of optimism. Good luck!

I've now given up on mine after three FitBit watches died after less than two years light use. The change in how the app displayed charts earlier in the year is also a factor.
Bye Bye FitBit.

I’m not sure if you were able to replace these or not I’m just seeing this because I was researching this too just now. I had the same issue. I replaced mines under warranty but I still have the watch. I found this link
it’s 20.99 for the brackets and the glue for them. I hope this helps
