I have had a year's experience with a couple of Fitbit Luxe trackers, and a couple of month's experience with a Fitbit Sense 2 smartwatch. I have come to the conclusion that Fitbit appears to be not very invested in producing an all-around robust product. By way of example, one of the Luxe trackers that my wife uses had a flickering display (that required a factory reset to get rid of) within a few days of use, and the Sense 2 smartwatch that I use doesn't seem like a flagship device... it lacks a full suite of apps and doesn't have fall/crash detection technology, both of which people have been asking for. A read through the help forums reveals that people are frustrated over various issues, not to mention updates to watch firmware and the applications portfolio that are very slow in coming. After a fair trial of Fitbit, I will be going to an Apple 8 smartwatch. Why? Because so many other people use Apple watches; there have to be reasons for that, and I believe they are robustness, quality operation and reliable performance.

After almost a decade with Fitbit, I have moved to Garmin after my disappointing Sense 2 purchase.
