Complete lack of apps on this watch, for what reason? To drive customers to other models?
I bought a sense 2 for the connected gps features - I hike and backpack long hours - but even that fails to work properly half the time, randomly dropping the phone gps connection after an hour and then annihilating my watch battery over the 5 hours or so.
I was willing to deal with this, but the fact that I can't get any apps on the watch is ridiculous. After two watch failures and now this with a sense 2 that I've had for just a couple months, it's no longer worth staying just to retain my data. Same on me for not looking more into it.
Time to move on and sell this thing to hopefully make a few bucks back
Thanks to a couple people here who helped in the past.

Hi @SunsetRunner - unfortunately the Sense 2 isn't an upgrade to the Sense as you have noticed, it doesn't support apps and doesn't have all the features of prior models, such as Music, Google Assistant and informative tiles, it is quite a basic model requiring an app to get access to some information (which is no longer as reliable as the previous release).

Yeah, but that's wildly ridiculous. It's the "best" model they offer and yet has stripped features from what I used to have with my Ionic and even the first sense.
To call the top tier offering a "basic model" is hugely disappointing. Honestly amusing that it took me a few months to even notice, but I've been focusing on backpacking training since I got this and haven't looked into the other apps I previously used.
This was a driving reason for sticking with Fitbit over the years, and now that it's not an option I may as well focus on the other features. All of which fall grossly short compared to, for example, the Forerunner 165 music somewhere between the same price and $50 more.
Its a shame.

@SunsetRunner- it is a shame. You may notice the Sense 2 price is more too.
There was a Versa Lite version of the Versa watch without some of it's features [buttons and pressure sensor, etc] but it was sold cheaper.
Since Google took over Fitbit they have been stripping features and functions from their watches and Apps, there is no longer a PC app and just recently the Online Web dashboard which had certain features the phone apps don't was also removed.
