Reading through the Sense 2 community pages it certainly seems like there are a lot of folks having the same (or similar) data loss and sync issues right now. What started out as me thinking it was just ‘my’ issue and how ‘unlucky was I’ has spun me full circle to make me think that it could be a broader Fitbit issue that’s affecting a range of devices. But here’s my question;
Are there any Sense 2 users, using the new App (IOS or Android), who are not experiencing any loss of data or any synchronisation issues? So using your Sense 2 and the new App every day and you’ve never had any intermittent or regular problems since updating to the new App version?
It would be interesting to know because perhaps as a community group we will get a sense of how broad ranging the current problems are and more importantly if there’s common ground for those who are having no such issue. If you reply to this question it would be helpful to add whether you are IOS or Android App, premium or non premium subscription etc and how long you’ve been using the new App without any issues as it may identify a trend. And of course, any other feedback and comments always welcome. Thank you.

My Sense 2 has had the wrong time 3-4 times now. Syncing doesn’t always fix the issue. I’ve never had this problem before.

As of November 1 my sense won’t sync fully anymore. Steps and time are all that’s working nothing else is working for me. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips twice (or more) with no luck. I have an iPhone 7 and I even updated my phone, deleted things to make more space invade that helped, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I spoken to Fitbit chat three times only to be told each time it’s my device that’s the issue and not the app and that I’m passed warranty so they offered me a measly discount on a new device. No solutions and no acknowledgment of the problem on their end. I have the premium membership as well and they didn’t even offer a refund on my membership when I am not getting ANY of the details the membership pays for.

I use Premium on newest Fitbit Android app for my Pixel 6 Pro.
I have very few, minimal issues, all considering the rate of issues across the entire span of tech products I use.
Once in the past month or so it seemed to collect data for movement for 2-3 hrs when I thought I was still, but sometimes my leg doesn't stop moving for a while, so who knows there!
I never lose any data as far as I can tell. It tracks everything, the walking directions work, the wallet works, the EDA scan works, heart rate is recorded, and so on...

I am using version 184.52 on an iPhone I have been wondering about sinking abilities for the last few weeks, today however it got worse when the clock has just stopped working and it’s 2 1/2 hours off. It started out on the wrong day. Also, that seem to get fixed when I synced up. I do not use premium.

qualifying deets (devicesߵ specs): Mine is running on FWຯ.184.52 (the latest firmware version as yet availed to me; mine has not been offered or forced-into FWຯ.194.61), and syncs to the Fitbit app on my Android-based (SW ver13) smartphone that is the most recent official one availed to me from the Google PlayStore (4.02.1.᠁).
my recent relevant experience: The only instances that commonly I have encountered a wrong time displayed on its face is after powering-on (having been off for more than a minite), which usually rectfies without issue upon syncing. The one other issue of note afflicting my Sense 2 be its acquiring a GPS signal. However, when it does acquire it it typically is decently accurate.

I am not seeing any loss of data, however I am having syncing issues. On my old Sense I would connect to my iPad while at home. When I left the house my sense would automatically connect to my iPhone since my iPad was out of range. My Sense2 does not do that. After I have left the house I have to pair the watch to the phone. Very annoying and also dangerous to be fiddling on my phone while walking on the street.
Disappointed so far in my new Sense2.

My Fitbit versa 2 factory reset itself on Friday 3rd, lost all data, now won’t say correct time or date. It’s not even a timeline difference (as the help guides imply) as it’s a completely random time. Have tried all the troubleshooting and cannot fix

I’ve seen quite a few comments on different posts about wrong time/or date being displayed, out of curiosity, on a Versa 2 device can you change the watch face to a different display? Or do you only have the one option?

@MissMyData- the Versa 2 supports upto 5 different clock faces which can be installed from the Gallery.
They can be changed on the watch by a swipe left and tap the Clocks app or in the Fitbit App Gallery tile only for a Sense 2.
It seems new bugs are being introduced in Fitbit App version 4, the older version is still working fine with respect to time and date, move hours etc..

Hi @Guy_ That’s good to know. So for those having issues with wrong time/date on display, has anyone commented on if that is affecting all their clock face options? I’m wondering if it’s a bug in one clock face in particular or whether it’s ‘all’ ….

@MissMyData - it seems to be across more than just the Sense 2 in addition to the daylight savings problems.

@Guy_ What "daylight savings problems", are some devices including Sense2 not automatically changing from Daylight Saving to Standard Time?, and "Fall Back" showing timeshift whilst having saved chronology (i.e. cardinality, not just ordinalit6 including a 'duplicate' span if ignoring whether DS or St T) It ought to have that programmed into its calendar of its recognized normal / most-ordinary Timezone protocol and into the system backing it (Dashboard / data accessed).., but if not then surely syncing it to iOS xor Android tablet/smartphone with correct current Standars Time ought to have rectified it (perhaps except for one hour discrepancy of time, which happened to kine briefly from "jet lag" travel.. but not as long as I was goping for time "glitch" an Activity ecord crossing a timezone plus or minus jump an hour, but alas.. was kinda moot since wasn't recording geolocation from commercial jet tens of thousands of feet above ground, lol. next time opportunity to cross timezone on land, as well as shifting forward to DST, imma hafta test again).

@MissMyData - Android User NOT Premium
I recently activated a Sense 2 from a Sense about a month ago that I had purchased last Black Friday (2022). I am not having sync issues but no longer get any map for my exercises when I walk thru the neighborhood. I did get the map after the original app update, but it had no detail anymore and looked like a kindergartner created it, and the map data of my walk was just a bunch of thick squiggly lines, essentially useless. That update, got updated again, and the maps disappeared completely.
The other issue I have is that when I do walk, the Sense 2 says the time is opposite of what it is from an AM / PM standpoint. So if I am walking at 9 AM the Sense 2 shows the time as 9 PM. But when I sync to the phone it logs the walk at the correct time ie 9 AM. I have tried numerous things to check and correct that issue to no avail.
Generally, and this was true for any Fitbit device I ever owned and used. The only loss of data I would get is when I traveled for business into another time zone, typically going from ET to one of the other US Time Zones, CT, MT, or PT. If I received steps from 7 AM to 8 AM then drove to Alabama and got there at 7:30 AM CT, the app would remove my previous steps from 7:30 AM - 8 AM ET. If I traveled by plane and had a layover in an airport going from the ET to MT or PT, all the steps and activities during the layover would be not counted by the app and steps would start again once in the MT or PT location. Fitbit does not do well when crossing Time Zones.
If anything, the sync feature on the new app works better for my Android device (Samsung S23 Ultra phone) with less hang-ups than the previous app. This is most likely because Fitbit/Google has removed so many features and functionality that not as much has to be "synced". Occasionally I will have to restart the phone to get some corrections to happen such as Hourly Activity or Daily Activity to register the correct data.
