7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Sense 2 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Sense 2 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Sorry for the late reply but Yes, my clock faces are Fitbit clock faces, and of course location is turned on and Fibit is allowed to run in the background.
Regular restart done, no difference.
The Sleep Mode is still the same drama, and no there is no sleep schedule set.

It’s been 3 and a half months and I am still waiting for the promised new features and bug fixes.
Is there any update from Fitbit?
I hate to conclude this with “Don’t beat the dead horse”.

Hi @LizzyFitbit, are you able to let us know if the 194.61 firmware update will also update the tracking algorithm to be that of Fitbit Charge 6? From what I've been seeing online, sensor set is the same between the Charge 5 and Charge 6, but just the software processing of the signals is what is leading to the improvements of Charge 6. Just wondering if Fitbit will decide to support Sense 2 users by updating the software for improved tracking? I am guessing it won't receive better tracking firmware, because then people would just end up buying Charge 5, instead of Charge 6. In which case, I will also end up selling my Sense 2 for a Charge 6. I would rather have a firmware upgrade with improved tracking rather than being able to swap between clock faces in the watch, which was a feature available in Sense, then got removed and now it's being added in as a firmware upgrade. It's really hard to keep track of what actually is an upgrade with Fitbit, because Fitbit seems to be the only company which when they add 1 feature and ends up removing 3 other features.. lol

Can @CrisVillaFitbit @EstuardoFitbit or other fitbit moderators update us on the status of new firmware for Sense 2? While @LizzyFitbit is away?

The only watches now appearing for sale on the official Fitbit site are the Charge 6 and Pixel Watch 2.
From that it is probably safe to say support for prior watches has been discontinued, hence the update being withdrawn due to unresolvable issues or possibly insufficient demand.
It should also be noted that the SDK for the Sense 2 was never released, so developers have never been able to freely develop or support clock faces for this watch (additional apps are not available).

Pretty much same old posts here. Until, reading Guy's comment:
"The only watches now appearing for sale on the official Fitbit site are the Charge 6 and Pixel Watch 2."
Now THAT would be big news if Fitbit stopped selling and supporting all other models. But it's not true. You can still buy all of the watches from Fitbit.com.
It's just that because the Charge 6 and Pixel Watch 2 are the newest releases those two are the only ones displayed on top of the home page right now.
Last year it was the Sense 2 and Versa 4 showcased (I assume) because they were newest releases.
Plus with\the new app rolled out recently just wouldn't make sense to see all other watches being held back from sale.
Both of my Sense 2 devices are still working great with the older .52 update.
But admit after reading Guy's post in my email notifications last night that it definitely raised concerns. That would be huge.

Hi, using Sense 2, firmware 60.20001.184.52 on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra running One UI version 5.1
I have read all the other many many many threads about this issue, tried all the fixes, and it's still not working -
When I try to voice reply to a message I get "transcription error Oops! Something happened. Please tap to retry"
Is there a fix for this that actually works? Or will it work in the new update? Really ticked off about this.
Only fix I've seen so far that works is to create a new account and don't associate it with Google. I don't want to do that.
Many thanks.

I don't know about y'all but has the battery capacity of capabilities also decreased. Charged my sense 2 yesterday in the afternoon this morning it showed 7 % remaining. I recently also found out that custom clock faces use alot of battery so I reverted back to the original sense 2 FB clock faces. But battery is being drained out of the ying yang

I've had two Sense 2 devices that ran the new .62 firmware and both times heart rate stopped tracking daily along with difficulty syncing in morning without turning off/on bluetooth among numerous others issues all posted here months ago. But neither one had any battery drain problems. And once I did the factory reset back to .52 firmware both worked great again and still do. That said, I've found in the past that if GPS is turned on, or full-time display is on, or even if screen time is set anywhere past 10 seconds (mine's at 6 seconds) then battery went down much faster. I've also had a ton of issues with battery chargers not doing what they claim doing. Including claiming a full charge in 5 minutes. I will then try different chargers and/or charging USB ports and can usually find who the culprit is. But I doubt it's due to the flawed .62 firmware that is nowhere to be found right now. Good luck!

Find a way to return it for a refund. In the UK you have up to 6 years for a fault like this (5 in Scotland). This thread is about evidence to show that Fitbit bricked your device.

I am on my second replacement device (under warranty). Premium member. Any chance this update will correct no longer getting breathing rate, heart rate variability, or sleep score?

Hi LizzyFitbit,
Regarding the metal plates falling off. This too happened to my fitbit sense 2. I chatted with someone yesterday and received an email, stating I was no longer in warranty. This seems to be a recurring problem with this watch, and it's too expensive to replace literally after a couple of weeks over a year. I bought it Oct 9 of 2022. What can be done?
