Sense 2 GPS is poor

I purchased a Sense 2 a couple of months ago. I was a fan of Fitbit until purchasing this product. The GPS is very poor. It doesn’t capture my routes at all well. My old Fitbit was better. I am very unhappy with this product, I’ve wasted my money.

What was your previous Fitbit device? (@SammyD77)

Versa 2. No GPS built in, but if I took my phone on a run with me, it never failed. Buying the Sense 2 was to NOT take my phone and it rarely tracks.

Indeed not-needing smartphone with you be the chief selling-point for having built-in GPS receiver (as with the Sense series and newer Versas). And you're right it has some accuracy ledtnl to be desired. Being the product tram cognizant of this be.likely large motivation for pushing the latest firmware update (192., that was planned originally for July but which has seemingly been suspended indefinitely, due to lousy initial execution) to enable connected (phone-based) location (like with the older Versas and Charge series). Although ofcourse having the choice between relying on built-in GPS versus instead the paired smartphone, the former---so long as neither battery nor positional accuracy/consistency of the smartwatch brands an issue--- be more desirable, in general.

I myself have occasional (more frequent than ought to) issue with my Sense2 getting GPS signal, outside Olinda clear weather. It also unsurpringly doesn't work inside most buildings (including at my workplace, where I do substantial walking.. thus am forced to use my smartphone without linked heartrate data to get accurate distance recorded, which is lame).

One thing that sometimes can help with GPS and other issues of the smartwatch is to restart it, especially if struggling more than usual--- though be sure first to sync it so as not to lose data.
