Sense 2 - Screen won't turn on

For a few days, maybe a week now, my sense 2 screen would just go blank and I would not be able to turn it on.  Eventually the fitbit logo would come on after pressing or holding down the side button but it usually didn't go away until I put it on the charger.  When the home screen came on eventually, the time would be off and I had to manually sync it via the app.  I tried to restart my sense 2 and now it won't even turn on at all.  If I hold the side button for about 2 sec, the fitbit logo comes up then disappears.  If I hold the button longer (for 5-10 sec), the fitbit logo will come up but the screen flashes between green/black then eventually a big red X comes up.

Thank you so much for informing us about this situation and for all your efforts.

Have you already tried to reset your Sense 2? If not, please try to do the following (make sure you sync your Sense 2 with the Fitbit app first):

  1. Press and hold the device's button until the screen turns off, then begins to flash.
  2. When the screen begins to flash, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
  3. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear. Once the logo disappears and the screen begins to flash again, release the button, then press and hold the button again.
  4. When the Fitbit logo appears, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.
  5. Then try to follow all the instructions described in this article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Yes I tried this.  I got the screen with the fitbit logo with circle around it then the next screen is a smaller fitbit logo with a progress bar at about 3/4 way filled.  Then the screen shuts off after a second or 2 then nothing happens and the screen goes black again.
