Sense 2 doesn't detect pulse rate and activity zone detection

Sense 2 is downright awful compared to Sense 1 -  putting aside all the lost apps and features, the heart rate detection and activity zone calculation functions are beyond horrendous. Doesn't matter which wrist  upside or right-side up, loose or tight,  arms still or moving  - no matter what I do, it cant' seem to detect pulse for more than a few minutes and then loses it again entirely for huge chunks of time and reverts to resting heart rate of 56 - extremely frustrating given how basic heartrate detection should be.   Google has made a mess of things and I will be abandoning Fitbit entirely. Onward to Garmin.

Hi @RayeBee - for the heart rate issue it could be a clock face problem unless you are seeing this in an exercise mode.

In any case try restarting the watch first, and if neither fix it get the watch replaced under warranty.

It is a known issue the HR isn't accurate during movements or exercising but a loss of HR is not normal.

Hi @Tez28 - just in case did you try changing the clock face? If water has got in it may be the cause of a sudden change.
