Sense 2 - how can I record or dictate thoughts?

I know Sense 2 has a microphone and works with Alexa. 

Is there a way to record or dictate ideas that I get during the day in some way if I buy an Alexa dot?

If so, do I have to be near the Alexa dot to do so?

No, Sense 2 is a fitness and health tracker, not a dictaphone.

Interesting question. I know Alexa (on the smart speaker) can do dictation https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Games-Voice-Pad-Dictation/dp/B0763K7NKF so I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the idea.

 

But I don't know if the Alexa in Fitbits can do that. Hopefully someone with the setup tries and shares with us.
