Sense 2 inconsistent sleep tracking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve read many messages on this forum about Sense 2 not accurately tracking sleep. Mine was great for a year or so before it stopped consistently logging my sleep. I’ve tried every fix: restart, sleep sensitivity change, firmware and app updates, correct positioning on wrist etc. Nothing has worked. It was great for a long time and then stopped working consistently. I’m frustrated.

Hi @Sleepless56. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for taking the time to share this details with me regarding the situation with your Sense 2 and also for trying to fix it on your own.

I'd like you confirm that you have followed these steps listed here below:

Keeping in mind that there are some factors that may prevent your tracker from recording your sleep, please make sure of the following:

  • When your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device should record that you’re asleep
  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device as described in this help article.
  • If you slept for less than 1 hour for sleep patterns or less than 3 hours for sleep stages.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Please confirm the following:

  1. The restart procedure.
  2. Try one more time adjusting the sleep sensitivity on the Fitbit app and check if you continue to have the same problem.

In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days.
