I have a Sense 2 with the latest firmware and app updates. Since December 23, I have been making a lot of steps in my SLEEP from 0:00 to 1:00. FitBit, would you like to correct this error as soon as possible? And then put snoring and noises back. Are there more users having this problem?

Hi there, @SunsetRunner.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I understand how important it is to track the correct data and before we can work on this together, could you confirm if you have MobileTrack connected to your account? MobileTrack is a function that allows you to track basic information using your phone's sensors when a Fitbit device isn't nearby. If this is correct and there was a fan or something buzzing nearby, you might get extra steps as this function might think you're exercising.
Assuming this applies to you, I'd recommend removing this function from the Fitbit app and monitoring your watch's behavior afterward. For instructions on how to remove a device, see this help article.

I am having this same issue at the same hour. MobileTrack was turned on, so I turned it off and will see if it helps in a day or two.

Hi there, @Pureza.
Thanks for joining this thread and trying the steps suggested above. I understand that you've already turned off MobileTrack. However, I'd like to encourage you to continue monitoring your watch's behavior in the next few days to see if it starts tracking your steps more accurately.

I am happy to say that appeared to be the problem. Make sure MobileTrack is off.

I have the same issue, wearing my Fitbit during the night, it’s recording sleep but deciding I’m walking…. Every night! No fans, no animals, I don’t live on a boat lol also don’t seem to have mobile track turned on. Wouldn’t it make sense for the steps to auto disable once sleep starts recording and then enable once the device detects you are awake?
I really think Fitbit needs to look into how it records steps in general too because I’ve sat still raised my arm up and down and it picks this up as steps, I have GPS enabled but still inaccurate steps are being recorded. Before I got a Fitbit I used pedometer+ on an iPhone and this seemed to pick steps up much more accurately.
Considering this is one of the main features of the device I’m shocked how inaccurate it is.

Hi there, @Missdjcandy.
Thanks for sharing your experience with your Sense 2 and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Before anything else, let me explain that all our devices have a finely-tuned algorithm which looks for intensity and motion patterns in order to detect steps. However, when doing activities that involve arm movement, you might get a few extra steps as your device will try to give you credit for that. In the case of the GPS data, keep in mind this data will be recorded only when starting an activity from the Exercise app.
Because MobileTrack isn't enabled, let's try restarting your watch, wearing your device a finger’s width above your wrist bone and monitoring its behavior in the next few days.

Hi Lizzy,
Thank you for replying 🙂 I would usually love the credit, with extra steps lol but it’s picking up if I wave, or mess with my hair, It seems very sensitive. Understandably I don’t have my phone all me all around the house but I can and up with a 3k difference in steps between my Fitbit and phone (I live in a small apartment, so it’s not stairs! lol)
I’ve reset it as suggested and I always wear it one finger below my wrist but I’ve added a picture to double check. It’s still seems sensitive.
Thanks again, have a great day
