I lost vibration for text messages and calls for a couple of months. After reading a reply on another post it led me to MY issue -- different from that post. Seems the Do Not Disturb feature had been turned on on the watch itself. Not in the app on my phone. To check: Swipe Down, touch the gear, touch Quiet Mode. This is where Do Not Disturb is located.
The other post I read was talking about the sleep mode (crescent moon icon).
I was ready to find a new fitness tracker 🙂 Good luck!

Hello @wz2smart and welcome to the Community. Fitbit's touch screens are very sensitive. It is really easy to swipe down to the Quick Settings screen.
Glad you found the answer. BTW, Fitbits didn't always have Sleep Mode. Once I started an exercise in my sleep! The GPS connection vibration woke me up!
