Sense 2 over stating steps taken

My sense 2 is wilding over stating the amount of steps that I take. Even just moving my arms from side to side registers as a step. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this

Nothing worn on your wrist can know exactly what your legs are doing.  All wrist-worn trackers infer steps from the movement of your arms that looks like the swinging of your arms as in walking but can't get it exactly.  If you had started out by walking on a treadmill with your arms held steady holding onto hand rails, the topic of your post would be 'Sense 2 under stating steps taken'.  But for most people over the course of a day it comes out fairly close.  If you think you really need an exact step count, look for a pedometer to wear on on hip but be prepared to lose heart rate and associated calorie burn and many other features.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

My Sense 2 step count is almost doubled. It’s accurate on the watch but much higher in the Fitbit app
