Recently I read, on techradar, about a mandatory update to Fitbit versa 3 and Sense 1. But that update messed up the battery life (from 6 days to one day) of those devices.
I'm about to buy Sense 2 and out of curiosity I went to Fitbit community forums and found out some Sense 2 users were also complaining about the short battery life after the update.
Is this problem is also affecting Sense 2?

Hi @jone4646 - the forced battery update was for the Versa 3 and sense 1 only.
Some watches of all types can have battery problems for loads of different reasons but a Sense 2 firmware update has not been released recently or in the same time frame, so is unlikely to be the cause.

Lol. The 1st post was a copy of a post I made yesterday on Reddit. Copy+paste.
Anyway. I didn't have much feedback on Reddit and was planning to post here.
What I found in this community were people, on another post, that had a normal battery life, on February 2025. After an update they said they received, the battery barely lasts one day. That post is still on the 1st page of sense 2 community. If my battery is fine, I receive un update and now my battery is now not ok, the culprit of course is the update.
I would like to see more feedback from Sense 2 users, because I plan to buy Sense 2. And it's on hold. I refuse to buy something that I have to charge more than 1 time a week.

I have a fitbit sense 2 and the update definitely affected it. I will definitely not be getting another fitbit in the future. I have had this less than a year and i now have to replace it. I am not happy at all.

If you are able to hold off, do so. If you are looking to buy something now, I personally would not get this. I absolutely LOVED my sense 2, however after the update I can no longer use my watch. I have tried many different attempts to get it to work. It won't turn on now. I have had previous versions of Fitbit before Google took over, and they all lasted MUCH longer for less of the investment. I came to rely on the data, and now no longer have that data. It is very sad, and seems like it was not a good investment for the short amount of time it lasted for me.

Has anyone reached out to Fitbit regarding this issue to see if they plan to do something to remedy it?
