Sense 2 step count showing more after syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the synching issue of late was fixed, the steps on my watch do not synch properly in the app.

eg. : right now I have 2205 steps on my watch but when I synch with the app, the app shows a greater amount of 2285. It's been doing this for days now.

It's definitely annoying and giving false results at the end of the day.

Hope you can figure out and fix this issue.

Regards.

Welcome back to the Fitbit Community, @fittynerdy.

Thanks for letting me know this situation with the steps shown after you sync the Sense 2 with your phone.

Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account. On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair".

Hello Cris, I do not use Mobile track. I rely solely on Fitbit app and my watch.

It was not called Mobile track on my app. I originally connected it because it looked like it was going to add additional features on the app. It just said 'Use your phone with the app to track your health and fitness'.  I happened on this thread because I was trying to figure out where the step overcount was coming from. I didn't recognize the term "Mobile track" but moving my account to Google and connecting my phone were the only two things I had changed.

"Disconnect" is the option I had rather than "Unpair". When I chose that, the next screen seemed to imply that the tracker and app would completely stop syncing so I hesitated but finally went ahead. That seems to have solved the issue.

I would say the description and directions on this definitely need clarification.
