Sense 2 support of OnePlus' variant of Android - OxygenOS

I think I am a loyal FitBit user with one on my arm since 2011. I'm on device no.3 and this 3rd one I think is on the way out as the battery life is now down to ~2 days if I'm lucky.
Currently on a Versa 2, which when I bought it I only found out that it didn't support the FitBit App on my Android phone as it uses the Android variant OxygenOS. I was able to get around this sync issue by retaining my old iPhone for that purpose.

I'm thinking of getting the new Sense 2 as it's replacement, but am wondering if this issue with support of OxygenOS is still an issue.

@LeatherWombat The issue is really with OxygenOS itself. The OS designed in such a way that it likes to kill most background services. You can try to whitelist the Fitbit app, but even then it seems its not enough in some cases. The website Don't kill my App has some tips on which settings you can change to try and get around this limitation.

I'm using a Fitbit since the OnePlus One and luckily never encountered a problem between the Fitbit app and OxygenOS. Now I have the OnePlus 10 Pro on OxygenOS 12 and still no sync issues.

I did have a OnePlus 6 which is where I had the issue, but another responder has indicated that this was an OxygenOS issue, rather than FitBit app.

I've moved on recently to a OnePlus Nord 2T 5G with a later OS version. Going by your experience the issues I had back in the day are now fixed!

This does not surprise me.
It was an issue with my OnePlus 6 back in the day

But I've moved on recently to a OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, so the issues from back then should be fixed now!

Thanks for your response.
