Having the same issue for the last 2 days

I think it's messed up due to the firmware update.  I am having the same issue,  other people seem to be having other issues as well.  Customer service doesn't seem to be able to help either.

Mine stopped sinking for 12 hours. Then had to mess about to get it to sync. Removed app, shut down device, reinstalled and resynced. Finally got it to update, but list some data. Gone to install the latest update, and now cannot find device part way through syncing. Never had issues like this before. Working in IT, looks like someone hasn't fully tested their software update before putting out to users.

Yes I also did all those things and still not syncing.  I am done with fitbit. I ordered a new, cheaper device off Amazon. Just want to track steps and check heart rate. Goodbye fitbit

Managed to get it to resync and update now. Uninstall and reinstalled and
did a hard reboot of my fitbit. Seems to have finally done the trick. Think
fitbit need to be careful. As a loyal customer since they first hit the UK
I have only had 2 problems like this, this one being the worst. But there
are so many cheaper trackers out there, that issues like this will
unfortunately customers away.

My Sense 2 stopped syncing. After rebooting watch and phone nothing. Factory reset the watch but then had to delete and re add the watch.

Forced update as part of connect process and now the phone  can't see thr watch again.

Repeated this process twice with the same results.

Same problem, nothing I've tried will solve it. I even let the battery run down to zero to see if that would reset things as following the reset procedure just resulted in a red cross. Now the phone can see the device but the phone believes the sense 2 battery is completely rundown even though it has been full recharged. One thing I haven't tried is deleting the app and reinstalling it as per one of the comments below so I'm about to try that now.
