Sense 2 won't track steps accurately

I have my sense 2 since May, I also bought a sense 2 for my husband last month. After noticing steps discrepancy i wore both watches today. My husbands watch said I had 2000 more steps done than what my watch said. Do they be calibrated again?

Hi @Eken60.

I think this is mostly down to how the device measures steps. They are measured by arm movement and vibrations, both of which the device can interpret as steps. If you wore both devices on separate arms there is a good chance the one on your dominant arm will have measured more steps, simply because you moved/used that arm more.

There is no way to calibrate the devices, but I wouldn't get too caught up with the raw numbers. None of these devices are completely accurate and do have limitations.

You could wear the watch on your non dominant arm and set the wrist placement setting to "non dominant", this should reduce the sensitivity and also minimise steps interpreted from arm movements.

Open the Fitbit app - tap on the device icon in the top left corner - select "Sense 2" - scroll down to where it say "wrist placement" - select "non dominant".
